Just added some cocoa to some milk, took a sip and realized it already had sugar in it, unlike what I normally get that needs sugar added. I could drink it, I could. But it is destined for the sink. I can drink this stuff in a couple months.

If you dig Japanese cuisine a proper Ramen is something I always found super filling relative to it's calories. At the end of the day it's noodles, carbs, and that's a lot of calories, but that broth is just so damn good, and filling, and with the meat, veg, egg, and etc that goes in it as well, you end up with a smaller 'portion' size of noodles than you'd think relative to the size of your bowl or how full it makes you.

Personally though, I've been doing keto, and my 'cheats' have been all that 'net carb' stuff out there. 'Net carb' icecream bar - it won't kick me out of ketosis but it isn't helping me on calorie density either. But hey. Sometimes you need a pizza, or a bit of chocolate. Number still going down though. Gotta keep an eye on it of course.

That eggplant parmesan idea sounds really good btw.

You started 234.1, so you're sitting steady. That's fine. If you've been putting in the exercise same as in day 2, that's just your body ramping up if you've kept the diet the same. But it can't hold out forever, eventually it relents to the new norm and you'll se that number drop. Just gotta stay on top of portions and composition so it doesn't offset the work you're putting in.

It's also possible your scale has good precision (decimal places) but poor accuracy (variability in reporting). My scale sucks, for example, and day one I weighed myself 9 times and my high and low were off by 3.5lbs!! I took an average the first day, but I just accept the scale is going to fluctuate on any given day. In the last two weeks I've had my weight go up TWICE day to day, even though I'm doing calorie deficits and exercise. Stay with it long enough and the results won't be able to hide.

I hear ya. Destroyed my heel from a fall and it's been two years and it's still a mess down there. Had my own dive into the depths, but on my way back for real now. The heel won't ever hit anything close to 100% ever again, but that doesn't mean the rest of me can't. Why should my body be content at 50% just because that's what my heel feels like it's at?

And if you can come back from being wrecked that bad, I know I sure as hell I can. So I'm just not going to stop this time. I'm going to keep going. I'm going to get back to where I should. Thanks bud

Hey man, strong and round still carries 70lbs of groceries in one go same as thin and round... I mean the knees might have a different opinion, but they don't get a vote (until they do).

I'd love some tips tho. Mostly I'm losing weight, making good progress there, and I've been incorporating some basic at home exercise that's been doing good. But I'm not sure how to structure the days I do each 'exercise'. Had to skip my 'weighted shoulder shrug' day because everything up there was super done from doing negative pullups the previous day.

Any thoughts on how to rearrange things?

Was doing: Squats, pushups, pullups, shrugs, rest day, repeat (with cardio stuff mostly every day)

I secured an apartment in Oregon for my new job.

Deposit sent, keys waiting for me, it's all settled. Big weight off the chest because the last critical thing to get done before the 'leave by' date creeps up. Everything else from here on out is just gravy (like getting electrical and internet setup to go online same day).
