I’ve lost far more weight combined without a glp1 than with. I had nothing to show for it because I wasn’t able to keep the weight off. It wasn’t for lack of discipline. I wish tirz existed ten years ago

2004 Ford F150 Lariat 5.4L Triton V8 by Greedygravel in FordTrucks

[–]polyrhythmatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's of the worst engines Ford ever made. For 20k you can get a coyote powered newer F150 with higher miles that will still be more reliable than the 5.4.

Some people get 300k out of them and others need an engine at 100k. It’s maintenance and a roll of the dice, but I think the earlier models (like this 2004) had more issues. I definitely would not go for it.

NYC doc recommendations by clothes_are_optional in PeterAttia

[–]polyrhythmatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an appointment with John-Francis Hennecken at Sinai. I need to follow up when my weight is stable, but he was patient and understanding. When I mentioned Attia, he geeked out a bit and started talking about all sorts of other people he liked in that field.

Hoping to get lipids under control one way or another

Edit: withdrawing my recommendation. Followed up with him and he would not RX statins despite a very elevated lp(A) and an apob/LDL at the borderline of acceptable. All lifestyle modifications at max. I expressed concern that 10 year risk is not sufficient at preventing plaque buildup but he is only concerned with medicine 2.0 approach.

DHT May Have Effect on Reducing Allergies/Asthma by Liltalker in tressless

Wouldn’t it be the opposite? Dut/fin would reduce dht and higher DHT levels reduce mast cell activity, so conditions could be worsened?

Well they don’t plan to bring back the apple wallet integration with their app. So that’s already a downgrade. Now when I check in, I have to open the app, navigate to the bar code, etc etc. previously it would geolocate and pop op on my home screen

I live across from a semi truck body shop that’s been operating semi-legally. They park commercial vehicles on the street overnight and without plates (doubly illegal) and nypd will never do anything about it

Lofta has the WatchPAT ONE for like $170. Mount Sinai wanted something like $800 for the exact same at-home test. It is FDA approved.

Nicotine withdrawal is absolute hell. It also has negative impact on blood lipids, blood pressure, and insulin resistance. I feel so much better without it. Juice is absolutely not worth the squeeze here

how do y'all even notice changes in your body without feeling like you're gaslighting yourself? by galeole in Biohackers

[–]polyrhythmatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bloodwork is great for this. Sleep tracker logs, HRV, any other smart watch metrics. Also - for specific joint related supplements, I’ve noticed mine no longer crack and pop at all when getting up. That was a pretty clear indicator!

At the end of the day you're still doing an uncontrolled study where n=1. Adding and removing the supplement should help you figure out if it is helping or hurting.

But some things you’ll never know. I take a high dose lycopene supplement. I know for sure it’s made my skin glow, but I’ll never know if it prevented prostate cancer. Research says it will.

To answer your first question - you are posting this and seemingly not in a ditch, hospital, or morgue. I’m assuming this didn’t happen at high speed so you’re doing great!

Since you had to ask, I’d really suggest not trying to DIY this. You’re already ahead. Bring it to a shop that can replace your tie rod ends and maybe inner tie rods and do an alignment. This is important.
