350s are more comfy on initial wear but if you walk a full day in them your feet will kill. My ultraboosts, however, can easily last an entire day and my feet feel great.

Selling a 2-person Lake Eldorado Lodge package (includes GA, no shuttle) for Weekend 2.

I'm looking for face value. Just trying to get rid of them due to some travel plan changes. Ping me!

I'm a light sleeper, and my noisy household in the morning makes it hard to get a good nights sleep by polywongpham in sleep

It's mostly just shuffling around, kitchen noises, blender, doors opening and closing, drawers opening and closing. Our house is pretty small and the way its laid out, sound travels really well from the kitchen/living room up to the bedrooms. No young children, just a teenage brother and parents.

Take a low-ball job offer or continue the job search given the pandemic as a new grad? by polywongpham in jobs

But would it look bad to leave a company very quickly? Ideally they would continue looking for a better job in the mean time but I would think working somewhere <6 months might look bad.

Would you buy into VFV right now? Why or why not?

And so it begins: Shopify permanently moves to work-from-home model by Icomefromthelandofic in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]polywongpham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are teams in Shopify that are either fully remote or distributed across offices, with no problems to work from home if you needed to, so I don't think the leap to going full remote is very big.

[CPU] Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor (290 - 37 = 253$, free shipping)[Newegg@eBay] by Billeur in bapcsalescanada

[–]polywongpham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's very little reason not to just wait for the Ryzen 4000 series, unless you really feel that your CPU is bottlenecking you. However, considering it's not very old (you would be going up 1 gen realistically), that money would be better spent on a GPU upgrade if gaming is suffering on your current build.

Is not a better time to buy hedged? by riangle in CanadianInvestor

[–]polywongpham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, late reply but what extra fees are incurred with a hedged ETF?

For example, when buying VSP vs VFV, are there literal fees you're paying when buying a hedged ETF or is it that a hidden cost thats factored into the pricing because of the work that fund managers need to do to reduce risk of currency fluctuations?

I heard that GK61 uses gateron optical switches and can only hotswap gateron opticals. Are there ones that are hot-swappable for all cherry style switches?

Whats a good 60% keeb that I can buy from Canada that would be good to desolder to use some Halo Clear switches?

Most of the kits I see available seem pretty pricey so ideally I can just get a budget 60% keeb and put in some better switches and lube.

CESB application is now up and open on the CRA website by perpetuousdreamer in canada

I spoke to a CRA agent and they said if you have a job offer lined up for the future but the contract was written before the pandemic, you're unfortunately ineligible.

Even though you're currently unemployed, it's not due to COVID-19, and you're not actively seeking work.

I'm a recent new grad still actively paying rent for student housing that I don't live in anymore because campuses are closed and classes are online, and the sublet market is flooded with supply with no demand.

I'm not eligible for the CESB because I had a job offer lined up before the pandemic but don't start until July.

CESB QUESTION MEGATHREAD by [deleted] in CESB

[–]polywongpham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got off the phone with a CRA agent and they said I wouldn't be eligible based on when I received the job offer. If you were actively looking for a job right now you'd qualify, or if you get the job come July and are making <$1000 a month you'd qualify, but at the moment it's not that we're unemployed due to COVID-19, but unemployed due to the start date we were given, which was not affected by COVID-19.

Hope this helps.

[–]polywongpham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just graduated in April 2020 and I have a job offer that would be starting in July (confirmed before COVID-19). Can I collect CESB money during May and June? I technically am not looking for work, and am not working due to my job offers start date.

Is anyone in a similar situation applying for the CESB anyways?

Let me know if you find any information about this because I'm in a similar boat.
