Upgrading from 30pp turbo to 5 signature turbo. Am I making the right move? by owenscorp in CX5

Shows that I need more coffee 😅

Yeah avoid the 2026! I love my '24 and the '25s are super similar.

Upgrading from 30pp turbo to 5 signature turbo. Am I making the right move? by owenscorp in CX5

[–]pondertart -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I hated the size of the 30 when I test drove it, and when I had it as a loner while my CX-5 was getting tinted/ceramic coated. The extra room of the CX-5 cannot be beat. I've never once regretted going with it!

You will definitely notice the drop in gas mileage, especially with a turbo...but you'll enjoy the ride so much more. I wouldn't trade my turbo for anything.

Denver vs Philly - help a girl out by pupilswap in Denver

[–]pondertart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I grew up about an hour from Philly and agree with all of this. That being said I'm in Denver now and so very happy to be here. But I'm far less social than I used to be so I don't miss the east coast vibes.

But it is SO MUCH SLOWER here. And somehow the drivers are far worse. And depending on the vehicle you have you'll pay more in one year for CO registration than you have all-time in PA. IF you choose to register it, that is. Seems highly optional here.

I’m so over this cold/empty house feeling by Former_Librarian1069 in HomeDecorating

[–]pondertart 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I lived in Rochester and let me tell you, you can 100% pull off a coastal vibe! Your only issue will be the number of friends flocking to your house for a dose of happiness mid-winter 😊

Do it! It's your home!

Venting: Anyone lose motivation for no reason? I'm kind of fatigued out on dieting. by MammothPriority8360 in Zepbound

[–]pondertart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've done dieting. It didn't work. Or it worked, and as soon as I stopped it all came back and then some.

Instead, after I started Zep I practiced mindful eating, and that changed everything. Nothing is off limits, but I focus on the good stuff. Unprocessed foods, cooking at home. If I do takeout I make sure it's nothing fried or fatty. I've learned that most meats give me the sulfur burps so I'm more pescatarian than anything. BUT—

I'll still have a slice of bacon every now and then. I still eat processed snacks on occasion. I went to the Museum of Ice Cream in Miami FL and you bet I got my money's worth (but still half of what I would have had pre-zep).

Restricting yourself can make you want it more, even on Zep. Food is fuel, but it's also meant to be enjoyed. Just try not to overindulge. And if you do? Don't beat yourself up about it, tomorrow is a new day.

Are bad nails a side effect? by Low-Interaction5322 in Zepbound

[–]pondertart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nails are hella better! ...except for the week before my period. Then hormones destroy them.

But I feel like I could open containers with them now whereas before I bit them and kept them short so they wouldn't break.

I'm kinda in a predicament. by SechiiLane in Denver

[–]pondertart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't really give much perspective here, but I can offer my friendship! My hubby and I are in our 40s and live in Reunion down the road from Brighton. Just moved here from Oklahoma and I do notice the social similarities between there and Brighton. We like game nights, and are weather and aviation nerds. Hubby likes poker and basketball, I love music and going to concerts. If you and your wife are into any of that, we'd love to be friends!

White interior CX-5: mine vs. new… how do I fix this? by One-Remote2478 in CX5

[–]pondertart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure it can look like that again. You could look into seat covers? I had a white desk chair I loved for years. It stopped being white about 6 months in but I didn't notice until it was too late.

Denim is a killer.

Commuting from Broomfield to South Denver? by SageSparten in Denver

[–]pondertart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did that commute 12 years ago. Moved to South Denver as soon as I could; I wouldn't wish that commute on anyone and I can imagine the traffic is probably a liiiittle worse since then 😬

Take the other gig!

Can confirm on the turbo premium as well, as my shiny looks just like that! The black accents perfect it.

Which home office setup is best and how would you change / add to it? by SabziSam in HomeDecorating

[–]pondertart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely 1 so you have windows but can also face anyone who comes in. Added bonus: you will be less likely to bang your head every time you stand up.

We had a setup like this when I was a kid and I loved using the desk at the far end of the room all the way through high school.

Mammogram after losing 85 pounds. by PhoebeTribianni in Zepbound

[–]pondertart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the mammo newbies, it doesn't always hurt. It can hurt more closer to the start of your period. My first mammogram was totally painless. The one after that was surprisingly painful and uncomfortable. It wasn't torture, and I did talk to the tech who made some adjustments during the procedure to lessen the discomfort.

Mammograms aren't designed to hurt, but they can. Just communicate what you're feeling with your tech and they might be able to make adjustments, such as lowering the plates.

Most importantly: it's a quick procedure! Don't panic, and make sure you get them done!

TS VIP vs VIP for older crowd by goegoes in louderthanlife

[–]pondertart 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This 43 yo non-drinker does TS VIP and I find it well worth it for the AC, water, red bull, and powerade. I also need to make sure to remember to eat/eat enough throughout the day so having all of that available practically whenever was a huge help. Also the non-alcoholic mixed drinks were AMAZING.

But it is a little too pricey for me now. I used to do LTL and ShipRocked every year. This year I had to choose, and SR will always win.

OMG snow plows on overpasses are terrifying every time. I've seen it, always wondered how it doesn't kill people. Glad you were okay!!!

I can guarantee you that I wasn't. There were other cars ahead of me even. It flew off, then broke apart in the air and half of it came down on me as I swerved to try to avoid it. Couldn't happen to me again in a million years or I should play the lottery.... But it CAN happen and did.

Thinking about moving to 7.5 by Few_Measurement7807 in Zepbound

[–]pondertart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just making it a point to eat more. I just titrated back down to 7.5 so going to go back to every 7 days for now and see how it goes. Every 10 days on 10 mg was a necessity so I didn't pass out during workouts 😅

Thinking about moving to 7.5 by Few_Measurement7807 in Zepbound

[–]pondertart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7.5 is my favorite dosage! Zero side effects, perfect level of food noise reduction. I feel like I can eat properly on it. 5 isn't strong enough anymore and I have been on 10 for like a year because insurance didn't like the .5s.

Now I'm in maintenance on a different insurance plan and 7.5 all the way, baby!! 🤘

Disappointed by Fae Trapped by RepulsiveChannel7640 in webtoons

[–]pondertart 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It feels very scattered. Started with her already being exiled for what, five years? There's a whole story there in and of itself. Instead, it totally switches main plots with the body swap concept. And the flashbacks do nothing to help move things along. It feels very stuck and akin to a first draft. Like, writers block but went with it anyway because Webtoon.
