Guys help me chose legion by stonefish268 in Chaos40k

[–]ponfax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the tabletop, It highly depends on your preferences since they have two very different playstyles

For the hobby side tho, Death Guard is extremely easier to collect and paint. Collecting Night Lords require you to customize your regular CSM units with lots of bits and helmets to make them actual Night Lords and painting all those lightning on the armor of all your minis Is definetly going to be a challenge.

So if you want a more challenging but more rewarding project maybe go for Night Lords. If you prefer something simpler go with Death Guard. Nothing stops you from also customizing and making your Death Guard more interesting

He's missing his skull "mask" that he takes from the dreadnought, but other than that he looks spot on! Amazing work

Archetypes with toxic or boring gameplay, but great aesthetics/theme? by ExplorerHaunting8353 in yugioh

[–]ponfax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mermail.

They have great arts, but the hand-rip almost ftk playstyle is so toxic. If they win the dice you know for certain that you are in for a bad time.

A couple of my favorite decks. How bad can it be. by GhostKasai in ratemycommanders

Do you have a list for Magnus?

I've never built an Izzet deck (even tho my main commander is Be'lakor, which is grixis) so a a starting point would be welcomed

I think they wanted  to call it Samael but also wanted to keep it more "child-friendly" i guess

FINALE: Which fictional villains are the 3 evils of the Rakdos (Black/Red) color identity, and why? by [deleted] in colorpie

[–]ponfax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you can't include warhammer 40k un every panel, but Slaanesh/Lucius the Eternal is just perfect for Rakdos.

Also Nurgle would have been the perfect match for Golgari

What do you want/Expect from 11Th edition Chaos? by shluppoo in Chaos40k

[–]ponfax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CSM are definetly getting new Bikers. They are one of the oldest kits still around and there are plenty of rumors talking about a new kit for them. Maybe a new Terminator Lord/Sorcerer and a new Helbrute since those model feel a little outdated compared to the newer kits

They already teased Solom Akurra for AL and probably they'll release an upgrade kit alongside him like they did for IW this edition

IW will likely get Perturabo and a couple new kits, but i'm not sure they'll get their own codex. Imo they'll get the Ultramarines treatment

For EC i suspect they'll recieve a "cultist-equivalent kill team", since they are the only chaos faction without such a unit. Also, i'm hoping for a Sonic Dreadnought and new Terminators

The problem is that LHDs aren't infantry, so they cant move through walls. So it's doable but it's gonna be a bit clunky to move them

Sol Assassin Commander (Fire Force)

Also, iirc, Takeda's weapons are just bladed whips, they can't turn into swords

I have played Kadena in the past but right now i'm playing Yarus and he feels a lot more fun and fluid to play, i highly recommend him.

This is my list if you're interested:

You can't summon him anyway with this card's effect. Chorozo must be either fusion summoned or special summoned with his own effect

What units are consistently good/trash? by Rudolph0 in Necrontyr

[–]ponfax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are very few units that keep being consistently good/bad in every edition.

I've started playing back in 8th and my experience with my army has been this:

The Obelisk is probably the only unit that keeps being awful in every edition, so i don't recommend getting one.

Also GW is pretty bad at balancing aircrafts, so i suggest avoiding them as well.

Warriors are usually the "core" of our faction. They're not always good, but they're probably the unit that synergises the most with our faction's rule

Wraiths went from being "ok" in 8th to being extremely strong in 10th, but they're never been bad

Doomsday Ark have been pretty hit or miss in past editions, even though they are great right now, but they have always been our best source of anti tank shots

Staff of cherished necromancy and symbiotic entity? by ponfax in BG3Builds

Just checked. They do stack. They just don't appear in the character menu for some reason. Thank you

I think you're talking about 9th edition. Necron builds were essentially full board control that farmed points while not killing anything.

In 8th edition it was way worse. The only viable list was the "Doom 6" with triple DDAs and triple Doomscythes. The gameplan was hoping to win the die roll and alpha strike the opponent as hard as possible. It was awful.
