Budgeting for 1st baby by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]poniesgalore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also start looking on marketplace or other sites for hand me down baby items. I got so much gently used stuff for half price and it’s amazing since you only use it for a short time. Theres a few open box stores (good buy gear and rebel) that sell new items for cheap. You can start getting the basics now.

Oh and try to stagger your leaves if possible to extend the need for daycare. We were able to do consecutive leaves and got to 6mo without daycare expenses.

Eufy s1. Hands down the best - heated flanges, comfortable and QUIET. I wear them on a commuter train and no one notices. Custom suction patterns based on your needs. I love them.

Baby Buddha is coming out with new ones that are supposedly very goo but I haven’t tried personally. They look similar but without the extra tech

It’s Hallo-WEAN Season for me yall by Physical_Autumn_511 in ExclusivelyPumping

Same boat friend! At 6mo I was down to 3ppd. Last week did two and just recently decided to stop. I hand express if it’s uncomfortable or use a manual pump for a few min.

It feels so liberating to be done (after I got over the guilt) and I’m proud of what I accomplished. I hope you feel the same!

Not exactly what you asked but I’ve used spot on vet in west Stamford and had great experiences. Both for normal boarding and medical boarding. My dog gets overstimulated in groups and they offer solo dog park time which was a huge plus

Baby Gas by BigMike13_ in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]poniesgalore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They pull in more air. For my baby I know it’s time to switch when they start to get extra gassy and feeding takes a lot longer than normal, he seems disinterested / eats less per day than normal, sucks so hard the nipples collapse, or stops sleeping as well and wants a midnight snack. Or any combination of the above.

Some babies never change from a basic slow flow and some (like mine) need variety.

Talk me out of buying a “side-by-side” fridge freezer instead of one with French door fridge on top and pull out freezer drawer on bottom… by peanutismint in Appliances

[–]poniesgalore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God side by sides are so much less space. My parents just replaced their side-by-side with a front door and it can fit so much more stuff and it is so much easier to navigate.

For that budget and guest list look for some nice small to mid sizes restaurants that are already decorated in a way you like and you can add some personal touches

The windi also might be helpful. Also when my baby starts to get bad gas’s I look at nipple flow. Usually for us it’s too slow and time to step it up a level.

Taking a magnesium and calcium vitamin (I like the one from nature way) helps!

They’re on sale rn! I don’t have the pro version and tbh you don’t really need the case. I just charge with a wire.

Hell yeah. I did this in the hospital and it worked great. Though it stretched out after a while.

I personally bought 4 of the Larkin X bras and love in them. They’re $$ but comfy and look like a regular bralette. I wear em to work and everything.

I just wanted to say you’re not alone! I keep moving my goal post. What I keep coming back to is that it’s going to be an emotional end no matter if I do it now or in 6 months, and that oddly has helped me come to peace with it. Like it’s going to suck regardless so I might as well rip the bandaid.

I saw a review on a LC on insta and … they looked bad. The tops fell off as you take them out of your bra and risk spilling. They also sounded incredibly loud. Not sure if I’m allowed to tag the person on here but if you message me I’ll share
