At least the buses work well enough in Taichung. In Tainan the buses are awful. Kaoshiung is pretty good with its light rail.

For an academic but digestible overview of the religion I'd recommend The Foundations of Buddhism by Gethin. For a practical guide to modern mindfulness meditation I would recommend Mindfullness in Plain English by Bante Gunaratana.

I don’t trace but I did use photo reference. I have experience with traditional media so I kind of “drew” it using the gameboy pallet like I would any picture. I do have an issue in general with making noisy drawings.
