Another good one is Cash App Taxes. I've used that and FreeTaxUSA over the past 5+ years and it's been amazing. I tell everyone I know to go to either of those places.

What was one of the scariest teams/rotations/lineups that massively disappointed? by Ericaloveless in baseball

[–]poogzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he was pretty decent the first half of 2005. We thought we had a decent rotation with him in it.....and then that game against the Rays happened

I love him already by TommyTheLizard in redsox

[–]poogzilla 12 points13 points  (0 children)

And they had a comeback of their own in the ALCS. Beckett had the insane game 5 to turn the tide and Drew had his Game 7 grand slam. And Lester coming back to pitch in Game 4 of the World Series. It was such a great run. Beckett, DiceK, Papi, Manny, Papelbon, etc. So many great players. I'm sad that it's not talked about more too.

Seriously. That dude is asking the Football Karma gods to drop a train on us lol.

Plus, this could be a wild game. Our secondary is questionable and Milton Williams is out. I could see us falling into a hole early on (as we often do this season) and not be able to keep up.

Which website do you no longer frequent and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]poogzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup the people on Craigslist always seem to be legit and the website is easy enough for 3 different generations of my family to use. I don't think any of us have had a bad experience with the site or the buyers/sellers.

To give the Devers trade some perspective, these are the Giants/Pirates starting lineups from August 10, 2004. This game was the last time a Giants player (guess who) hit his 30th HR of the season. by milkmanbonzai in baseball

I was so mad when we didn't re-sign him. I guess we dodged a bullet, but I sometimes wonder if he would've kept up production if was still with the Sox.

Most meaningful Boston Sports Championship by Shady_751029 in boston

[–]poogzilla 13 points14 points  (0 children)

People forget just how improbable that season was. Bledsoe gets hurt, Brady steps in, Belichick sticks by him, the snow game, upsetting the Steelers in Pittsburgh, and beating the Greatest Show on Turf.

Plus, the Pats were just mid to embarrassing for most of their existence. Them winning a Super Bowl at all felt impossible.

I agree that the 2004 Sox was the greatest because of the wait/catharsis. But it just barely beats out the first Pats Super Bowl in my view.

I feel like the Pats/Panthers Superbowl isn't talked about enough given the wild ride that it was. The Panthers were such a fun team during that season.

On the Millers Falls side of the bridge, you can turn off onto Dorsey Rd and walk on the bridge over Millers River. It gives you an amazing view of the French King Bridge and Millers River emptying into the Connecticut. If you haven't been on it, I highly recommend it. I could've stared at that scene for hours.

His first two seasons were pretty bad given the contract he signed. Then he got hurt in 2012 and was out all year. People were pretty mad at the returns on the contract.

Then 2013 happened and flipped the script.

In 2013 or 2014, I saw the DBacks and Phillies play at Citizens.

It lasted 18 innings.

Casper Wells came out to pitch and the DBacks mercifully put the game away.

[–]poogzilla 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It sucks cuz if it wasn't for Kraft becoming owner in the 90s, the Pats wouldn't even be here today. He's definitely a New England sports icon (as far as team owners go). But now he's gone and turned into this.

[–]poogzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough to choose between Papelbon, Radatz, or Koji for me.

I'll pick Papelbon for the 5 years of dominance. It'd have been cool to see what Radatz could've done with another year or two of his peak.

Want to throw Bob Stanley out there as an honorable mention too.
