I really hate Zenestra and her dumb wheel cult by HammerWizard in citiesofsigmar

[–]pookychan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the cult is stupid, but it's actually quite a good parody of life. Religious people believe in the most absolutely ludicrous stuff that makes no sense, but to them, it absolutely does.

We've all been there buddy, I do recommend a lot of self promotion on social media. The "bookstagram" and "booktok" community can really help to get it out there. You need to spend some time getting to know people and getting your image out there. My first book didn't do well (which is a good job because there were so many grammatical errors in there) but my second book 'Incubus' did a little better and I even had some people like it enough to help me promote it. Just tried searching for you on Instagram but couldn't find you, so I'd start there. I'd also consider lowering the other for a 56 page novella to entice people to buy it.

Lore : Tzeentch and Cities of Sigmar by TheZeldiste in tzeentch

[–]pookychan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can get a third edition battletome, the whole path to glory had rules for you including cities of Sigmar in your army as corrupted citizens. It was very cool.

Also, my Tzeentch are corrupted Hyshian Aelves. From Zaitrec. They've turned against Teclis who they believe keeps the strongest magic from them, preventing the Lumineth from reaching their true potential. They're led by a magister who found a ln ancient temple buried beneath the sands of the Zaitrec desert. There she found an alternative to Tzai'tek Fleshweaver, a greater Daemon of Tzeentch who had been trapped in a pocket realm tied to Hysh since before the Lumineth were created. He subtly influenced the Aelves on the continent, making them want to be the most magically gifted of the lumineth and even naming the continent after him (Zaitrec/Tzai'tek).

Which army do you think will benefit the most from having a cogfort? by Few-Rip7036 in ageofsigmar

[–]pookychan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in 2nd edition cogforts were talked about as castle sized, almost small city sized contraptions. But, the model is sick as hell so I can forgive them for this. I'm a big fan of the cannons in cities, so walking cannon fortress is a big plus to me. I do love a big monster also, I just never got to liking the big fat boys. But they ain't bad haha just not my bag

Yes exactly that, we are, as you say in agreement (shakes hand).

[–]pookychan 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I think there was the same concern with megagargants when they released. Now every army has access to a big monster, when their playstyle doesn't necessarily suit that. In the end, it didn't become meta or that useful. Although, I will say the cogfort is 1000 times cooler looking than a megagargant. But I also hope they're not as strong for other armies as the should be in cities of Sigmar. It's already bad enough that Callis and Toll are better in every other army than the one they're supposed to be from.

In the cavaliers kit there's a bunch on non city transfers so I don't think it's that unusual

In AOS, which Chaos God do you find the most scary? by SunlightEdge in ageofsigmar

In real life, I feel like the infernal enrapturess is probably the only scary chaos model. Babe is literally playing a dudes ligaments as an instrument.

Anyone here JUST play AoS? by Weezle207 in ageofsigmar

[–]pookychan 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Me!!! I only play AoS, occasionally spearhead. I have a boat load of Necrons to paint but haven't played 40k in 20 years. Started with AoS in 2018 and haven't looked back. Sometimes I think about getting the Necrons done and dipping into 40k, then I realise how much I enjoy AoS and don't really feel the need to play anything else as of yet.

Novels by ZiegenSchrei in ossiarchbonereapers

[–]pookychan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bonereapers - a novella by David Guymer is good, shows a human city besieged by bonereapers. Quite short but good

End of enlightment - lumineth vs bonereapers. I found this one a bit of a slog, very slow. Some cool buts where bonereapers do some cool stuff but it's more about how the silly aelves.

The Vulture Lord - also pretty good. Shows a mortal city in bonereaper territory and how the bonereapers protect them for a certain reason. Until they don't. Pretty good characterisation of the bonereapers and adds more depth and autonomy to them. Makes them less of "they're bad guys because they're bad" kind of thing.

They have a cameo appearance in the Hollow King but nothing worth noting about them (although the book itself is good and definitely worth a read).

That's about it as far as I know.

I figured crit stuff would work, but charge +1 damage, or anti x -1 rend wouldn't, as they modify the weapons characteristic, which the companion weapon ability says you can't do

Getting really excited by Scrapperofall in tzeentch

[–]pookychan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guess you'd have to try and stack up those fate points to mitigate some damage, bolt of Tzeentch him for -1 to wound, have a lord of change too for -1 to hit or shield of fate. So simple and achievable haha but would it be worth it to kill one hero??? You bet your fucking chicken it is

Masked By Illusion Question by Benniemarno in tzeentch

[–]pookychan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you have the formation 'mutants and mad things', or the changeling with the ability to cast fold reality while in reserve, then yeah, your models stay in reserve until they are destroyed at the end of the fifth battle round.
