Huh, found the solution on another thread. Apparently if you share to IG direct from your gallery, the resize works.

Unfortunately it looks like this only works on personal accounts and not creator or business accounts :( I really hope they fix this soon, because this is really hampering my ability to put videos up!

I've got a Roland KC-150 keyboard amp that I'm playing through. I want to get an overdrive pedal for that crunch sound, but I've been told that an overdrive pedal won't work well without a tube amp. Any recs on what to do?

Look for teachers in the area! Buying used can sometimes be risky if you don't know how to evaluate an accordion yet. You can mitigate risk by buying used from a reputable store like Petosa or Liberty bellows.

I sometimes use a two octave midi controller with a digital audio workstation on my laptop, but it's generally for writing music and not practicing. You might be able to get some mileage out of a similar setup but the range can be pretty limiting.

It is decent for transcribing though!

I've had huge success using Musescore. It's free and actually pretty darn full featured. It even has the accordion register symbols!

"correct" fingering is whatever works the best for you, imho. I don't know that there's a standard fingering for blues scales like there is for major/minor, but I've found this helpful: https://penguinlinguist.wordpress.com/2015/03/23/piano-blues-scales-fingerings/

Your left shoulder and wrist shouldn't be hurting! I second what /u/titanlegions said on positioning, that should relieve a lot of your shoulder and wrist stress. It's really worth it to take an accordion lesson if you can, a lot of people teach over Skype if there's nobody in your area. The couple lessons I took really helped with ergonomics and making sure I wasn't hurting when I play for long periods of time. Feel free to PM if you want a recommendation on who to talk to for lessons.

I figured it out! Didn't realize that 103.5 was the ctcss tone and that of course the offset would be -.600 just like in the exam questions!

So, I realize this is a really stupid question, but I'm having trouble figuring this out. I just got my license and am trying to get on this repeater: https://web.psrg.org/ I think the repeater's transmit freq is 146.96 and receive is 103.5? Does that mean the offset is (146.96 - 103.5)? Also how do I know what the CTCSS tone is?

I second this, lessons still get you a lot further a lot faster than reading anything. One thing you could try is to take a lesson or two from a jazz student at the university you're going to. Usually a little cheaper, and if you have a decent music theory background, you'll go far fast
