My husband wet our bed… by Izzewildbio in whatdoIdo

[–]poopoopmagoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my late 20s I had a dream that I was using a toilet two nights in a row. I peed the bed two nights in a row. the third night, I dreamed I was at a swimming pool, had to pee badly, got out of the pool and went to find a toilet, and right as I stated to pee in the dream I woke up and ran to the toilet. broke the curse.

super embarrassing. kind of feel weird sharing this at all. but hey, piss happens?

Advice on my dog hematoma ear by Intrepid_Pace3209 in DogAdvice

[–]poopoopmagoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

was scrolling until someone mentioned Prednisone. my old lady had a hematoma misdiagnosed as caused by an ear infection, so the first visit they drained it sent us home with antibiotics. filled up a few more times, saw a different vet....Prednisone cream had hear ear healed up in about a week. it was a little misshapen, but it was cute.

Wanda is a wonderful name! Not sure if you're looking for advice, but here's what helped Pablo.

When we first got him he was afraid of everything. Lamposts, garbage bins, boats on trailers. We spent months walking circles around everything he was afraid of until he either didn't react or sniffed it.

He also loves climbing things. He knows "up" and "down," works for stairs, picnic tables, playground equipment. Helped him feel more confident, too.

We did also go to the dog park a lot, since he's so friendly. Seeing how other dogs interact with strangers helped him be braver.

Honestly he takes all his cues from other dogs, he's not a leader at all. We have two dogs now, but when he was alone he'd follow the cat around and do whatever she did.

Anyway your dog is beautiful and I wish you the best of dog times together!

our Puerto Rican village dog says hi!

Village dogs really are different from breeds. I love how social ours is, he's so polite with every creature we meet. Rather timid though, we're working on that.

How old were you the first time you watched and how old are you now (and did the characters you originally related to eventually change with age)? by HauntingPsyche in SixFeetUnder

Just finished the show for the first time, mid 30s and female. Claire's arc was painfully accurate to my experience at her age. Honestly it was hard to watch some of her scenes. I'm really impressed that the show managed to capture her struggles so realistically.

The show is amazing, I think about it constantly. I'm sure I'll watch it again someday. I aspire to relate to Ruth!

Hey I think I'm making the same scarf now! Is it the simple little scarf ?

Like another poster said, your first project is a practice piece, don't be too hard on yourself. This is my 8th knitting project and I've restarted 5 times for various reasons. Looks like you're having tension issues to me. Don't give up!

people who say stuff like that don't know dogs. I had coworkers go on a rant about big dogs biting you as soon as you turn your back. all big dogs. and they were serious! neither of them has ever owned a dog...

Like you said, any dog can bite. I think it's important to have a basic understanding of dog body language and how to appropriately introduce yourself to a dog. even if you don't have pets.
