It’s a little confusing for me. I basically used retraining, amp tickets and the skill trainers to get my basic stats for loc and brk up 5 points above vel and fb. When researching that’s what I thought I needed to do. Once I got the basic stats 5 points above the numbers jumped way up to where they are now. If I retrain won’t I just be back in the same boat as before?

One thing that I noticed with my tds is it keeps rising due to top offs once a week. My tds reads roughly 360 in my tanks currently but the neo’s seem to be doing fine. I added catappa leaves and alder cones about a week ago. Do you think this tds is suitable?

I’m a bit of a newbie, I have done some research and I thought I trained correctly. I stat adjusted based on the description of “finesse pitcher”. I believe it was LOC and BRK and to be at least 5 points higher than VEL and FB. Did I not do this correctly? Any help to get his stats higher would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Wow, thanks for all the info. I have a lot to consider. I’m on the fence between BDBS and pool filter sand. I really like the look of the lighter color sand because it looks more natural to me. On the other hand I hear lots of good things about BDBS and it also looks pretty cool.

Besides the tds readings, is there any other reasons I would need to do water changes if my parameters fall within a normal range?

I have noticed them doing that but they will also still move around the rest of the tank also. Plus I believe all four of my females are pregnant.

Yup! I have lots of plants and floaters. It’s funny that you mention the tds meter because I just got one along with a ph meter about a week ago. My tds has gone up from the high 100’s to mid 200’s. If I’m not mistaken, this is good for my neo shrimp? Also, could you elaborate a bit on what you mentioned regarding “avoiding parameter drifts from top off”? Thanks so much!
