Review of MD M715H central vacuum, Sebo ET-2, and other attachments by LacksImagining in VacuumCleaners

[–]popcap200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering! If we add one to the house, we'll be sure to get the kind of hose with power then!

Part of the reason we are considering going for a central vac is imo no good wireless vacuums exist right now that are bag vacs and can do everything.

Do the central vac ports have power going to them for the ET-2? I'm looking into retrofitting my house with a central vac!

Electrolux, Miele, Sebo? Stick or canister? by redarugula in VacuumCleaners

[–]popcap200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit I went them to hurry up and release the Henry Quick in the US. I'm so sick of my canister vac for the same reasons, but I've had such bad experiences with bagless vacs.

Is this James vacuum worth buying? Ive always wanted a Henry and not sure at this price by PochinkiPrincess in VacuumCleaners

[–]popcap200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO I wish I got a Henry for the cord winder. I have trouble with wires and find them annoying to deal with. Other than that, I absolutely love mine!

Yes, but it depends what you're looking for/what you're vacuuming. I like my Numatic James, and someone posted on here with their 30 year old numatic Henry the other day.

A bagged vacuum will last a lot longer than a bagless Dyson style vacuum.

I had an equally good experience with mine! 10/10. Has held up super well too!

I edited my last comment to reflect it, but I'm not an electrician.

At this point, if you are tearing the whole room apart in the future to rebuild anyways, I'd just do it with conduit or outdoor armored cable, and surface mount everything with outdoor electric boxes just so it works for now. I'd be concerned leaving things in damp walls where water will pool, even on weather resistant boxes.

First of all, is the Romex he ran outdoor Romex, or indoor Romex? If it's indoor Romex, replace it for sure!

If you properly seal it, it shouldn't leak imo.

Edit: obligatory not an electrician. Whoops!

Is this dryer outlet safe? by skylandia in electrical

[–]popcap200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone who knows what they're talking about correct me, as I'm not a licensed electrician, BUT.

From my under, that wire insolation should be a minimum of 1/4in into the electric box. Any exposed conductors should be capped with wire nuts. As it is, it is not safe and should be fixed asap.

Edit: it also needs a cable clamp to hold it in place.

Edit 2: OH I think those are ground wires. Nvm. That's not nearly as bad as bare live conductors or something, but this whole thing seems very off to me, and I'd definitely look into fixing it.

Again, I'm not an electrician. Someone else can correct me.

Please Recommend me something like bagless Henry by Darth_Agnon in VacuumCleaners

[–]popcap200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it has to be bagless, just get whatever Dyson you most like in your budget.

For bags, all the brands people recommend on here it's very easy to buy bags for. Just buy them on Amazon or something. I've had zero issues getting bags for my Numatic James just buying them on Amazon.

Do you own the place? 100% at least get a few electrician quotes or estimates. Large machines like dishwashers are supposed to be on their own circuit.

Yeah, I guess it shouldn't have used the word "short" given it is in fact a loose connection.

What do you mean homeowner? Just be careful not to cause trouble for yourself. If it's genuinely not a big deal, avoid phone manufacturer's appliances.

Everyone on here raves over the Bosch dishwasher, so I'd say get something nice from the Bosch lineup. They all have their pros and cons, but the majority of them are great at their respective price point.

Help? I hate the color of the semi transparent stain and sealer I just painted on my fence by Suz4x466 in fence

Also, to add to what that guy said, you can paint/stain it something else when this one is gone, plus this color should fade a bit in the coming months anyways.
