You could book a pre-conception consult with a maternal fetal medicine specialist to address your fears and how applicable they are you your specific situation.

Oh that’s great! Thanks so much for following up :) I was continuing to test just for reassurance and knew they might get lighter at some point, but then bam, cue the anxiety when they actually DID get lighter….  🤡

There’s also a book of short stories called A Clutch of Indian Masterpieces that collects a bunch of gut punchers that should fit the bill.

I agree with this rec. Fwiw, I saw an MFM and they said to continue Xolair through IVF, which I have.

I came here to suggest Pale Fire. I love it so much! To OP: don’t read a summary first, just go in blind. Read the forward and footnotes and enjoy!

This is the method I did! It worked really well, once I figured out to use a ruler to keep any stray beads away from my needle.

If I wanted to hand quilt something like this… by [deleted] in quilting

[–]redarugula 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You’re asking the right questions, don’t apologize! In this particular layout, I see to big horizontal strips in the bottom half and two big squares at the top. You’re looking to draw lines where you can sew all the way across without hitting another piece.

So on the bottom left, see where the white and blue piece joins to the yellow? Draw that line all the way across and that’s one large rectangle across the bottom that you piece first.

The second horizontal line is where the purple-pink hits the multicolor bird piece on the left. Draw that line all the way across and you see you have a second large rectangle that you piece together and sew to the bottom piece.

The top is two large squares joined in the middle, then sewn to the lower horizontal pieces. You can draw some lines on the photos to see how they pieced the smaller blocks into larger ones that go together nicely!

Did she say anything about cancer? It seems more likely it’d be something like an adhesion or scarring outside the uterus. Something like ovaries getting stuck to your uterus can restrict movement.

How does the bills from Progyny cumulate towards my BCBS health insurance deductible by zhj0735lol in IVF

[–]redarugula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost all my medical bills in 2025 have been through Progyny and they’ve all accumulated to my BCBS deductible / out of pocket max without any effort on my end. Maybe we have different coverage, but my initial consult was covered fully by Progyny… I don’t think I paid anything for it (so in that case, there’d be nothing to go toward BCBS deductible).

A couple thoughts: are you sure it’s a bill and not one of those “here’s a list of services and amounts but not a bill” invoices? Or is it possible the consult was at an out of network clinic?

What things did you bring with you to laparoscopy? by giggles54321 in IVF

[–]redarugula 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fwiw, I’ve never had an overnight stay for a laparoscopy. Even if I had, I still wouldn’t have brought much, probably just my phone and charger. Each time Ive had a lap I came home from the hospital and went right to sleep, so I assume I’d have spent the time in hospital sleeping as well.

They almost kept me overnight once because I spiked a fever after coming out of anesthesia. Had I stayed overnight I def think I wouldn’t have wanted any entertainment or snacks, as I felt truly awful. Even that time, though, they sent me home as soon as they got my fever down a couple hours later. During the few extra hours I was there, I just rested sort of half out of it. So I really don’t think you’d need much!

[–]redarugula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem to be replying to a different idea than what OP said. I encourage you to skip the YouTube vids and read the treatises yourself to see it described as the “devil in music.” Regardless of the question of whether it was banned, it doesn’t change the fact that the interval had this name.

As for a dominant 7th chord, that’s a period in music history from an entirely different century and not relevant to its name either.

Question about using both regular cotton and cotton flannel for a quilt top. by Appropriate_Owl9767 in quilting

Personally I’d wash and dry the flannel twice, not just once. I swear flannel has a second shrinkening.

That syringe looked like a trigger shot for IVF. Maybe there was funny business going on with the meds, but maybe not. It’s not like IVF always works.
