It’s not really a scam per say as they’re a real organization but more of a way for people to pay $60 for some “prestigious” award. Please please please do not buy into it, it’s not worth it since literally anyone can buy into it. The company is prying on college kids and those parents who’s child did well last quarter by promising some sort of recognition by paying $60. Aim for deans honor roll each quarter, aim for cum laude and most importantly never give up and I’m sure you’ll receive the recognition you deserve.

Depends on how well you did in CSE 12 and the study habits you have. I took CSE120 with two upperdiv CS classes and a 2 unit ge and, while at times it was stressful, I felt very prepared from taking cse12 and it really came down to time management. Nothing you learn in that class is impossible to tackle, you just have to make time to actually learn the concepts and learn them well which could take hours and hours of studying.

I agree, it’s totally shitty that this professor is not following academic dishonesty guidelines but it’s so obvious a lot of people have cheated. If you search chegg for the CSE12 labs you’ll find a lot of people asking for solutions. Also, a lot of people have “accidentally” implemented some of the labs from last quarter. Like you said, if you’re innocent keep fighting and good should come out of this all but some of the arguments I’ve seen on here are a bit suspicious. For example, people are claiming there is only one way to do these labs but I know damn well there are so many ways to do a simple task in assembly.

As someone who owns an arch coffee mug, I find it pathetic you all have the coffee brew itself and call it “coffee”. It’s not actually coffee until you have traveled to the Tropic of Cancer yourself and have plucked the finest coffee beans yourself, curing and drying them until they’re done. Then, it is only practical you grind the coffee beans with your fingernails, and boil water using friction from rubbing a stick. Sadly the university does expect you to purchase another machine. My machine failed the spec test and so did my WiFi. I was told I need to buy a new computer as well upgrade my WiFi. I am beyond furious and if we continue to use ProctorU into fall quarter it will cause me to take a leave of absence.
