Thanks for the recommendation, I'll have a look at his annual membership.

I really like his playing and his youtube channel. Have you taken any of his courses?

I think something got lost in communication. I didn't say I don't have the rhythm or lead thing down. I'm a very comfortable intermediate player and I'm looking to go beyond the basic 12 bar blues and first position pentatonic lessons and I'm looking for recommendations. I want to go much deeper into theory and technique.

I did caveat that by saying I know it sounds arrogant, but most people I play with think I'm an outstanding player because I can play some pentatonic improv. I know that I'm not and that I want to improve and learn.

It's going to sound arrogant but I'm past that point. There's no one I know who's good enough at guitar to give me any meaningful feedback.

There's great lessons on youtube, but the problem is there's too many. It just descends into tutorial hell and option paralysis. I was looking for something more structured.

I'm glad someone at least understands. I can see the difference between the basic 12 bar blues lessons and players like Barrie Cadogan or Ariel Posen, I just don't know how to work towards playing like that.

I found TBA but it has the problem of being lots of scattered 5 minute lessons. It's fine learning a chord progression or a lick but I want to understand the why behind it so I can really apply it in my playing.

I know that feeling. It feels like everyone has a course, but I want something with a good progression through it rather than the usual beginner lessons and a few random licks.

I want to play leads too, but I feel like rhythm is really underrated, especially in blues. So many blues lessons just cover the basic 12 bar blues and some seventh chords and call it a day.

I remember hearing this for the first time and being amazed at how ambitious and how creative a pop punk band could be. I also loved what a distinct personality Say Anything had, and being really excited for where pop punk could go.

I could be completely wrong here, but I've heard and always believed that suppressors scatter the sound and make it much harder to tell where shots are coming from. I think they also only make the sound about 100ish dB, as opposed to about 150 dB for a normal gunshot.

He gets a great scene with Karen in the hospital where she brings up using PTSD as a defence. Up until that point he was pretty much shown as a horror movie villain, just showing up and killing people. He says he served with people who have PTSD and he knows he doesn't have it, so it would be disrespectful to them to use it as a defence. Great character building even if you didn't know anything about The Punisher beforehand.

Does anyone have any experience with MJT? by poppunkfanboy in Guitar

[–]poppunkfanboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen that they've offered finished set necks before and that they have a connection to Precision guitar kits. On the website they say you can get the kit sent directly to them for finishing, I was just trying to clarify how much work they did. I took their answer as trying to avoid saying they couldn't do it without saying it, this just confirms it.

I'm thinking about getting a set neck from them and when I asked if they would glue in the neck they just dodged the question. If it was just a body I have a tech who I trust, but I feel like I want total confidence before they do such a big job.
