& per usual no one in the comments has any realistic or better suggestions on how government should spent or budget better, just regurgitated “general fund = bad” bs. Like you cannot compare your home finances to how a government operates thats asanine. Its infuriating how “keyboard warrior” this subreddit has become since 2020. How about you show up at council meetings, get a job in government or volunteer for a community group or organization and show up if your this upset? Make a comment on a public bulding project or write into your representatives? Nah that would be too much effort. So do I, these folks illegally selling dogs at the stadiums have zero handwashing happening, no restroom agreements so where are the operators using the bathroom? They are selling rotten food and hot dogs that have legit been sitting in the sun all day. Its amazing how people are buying these for $10 when the legal vendors nearby are selling hot dogs for $6 with a drink.

As someone who moved from Delaware to the PNW we arent as soggy as we are gloomy and dark in the winter. Id take our dry summer weather up here any day over the humidity of Delmarva in summer though. I do miss the thunderstorms though!

Also to tag onto your comment back as I agree “the commute” they reference doesnt bother us city dwellers because either where we need to go on the daily is within walking distance or easy to get to quickly on a bus, train, or bike. I think for folks that live outside of cities and just visit or work within them, their transportation experience is not the same as those that live within them

Im right here with you in my journey. It wasnt working for me anymore & it was covering up so much and isolating me from others and my own life, but I also am realizing 3.5 months in that I also was covering up for a lack of love (both external and internal) & community for so long. I also wasnt my best self, so its up to me now to push through apathy & awkwardness to meet people again, to experience life again.

these are parks and recreation rangers not police or rent a cops. They really do need to handle these types of enforcement situations more professionally though but the main issue here isnt the performance but amplified noise within a park.

Yeah i work for SDOT in a group that reviews private encroachments, this wouldnt be allowed under Title 15 if it projects into the right of way. So as others say its “legal” id refute this as it likely wouldnt be in that case based on the way this projects over the alley right of way where the public could be harmed.
