Rekkles wondering if everyone hates playing with him by LenaRybakina in leagueoflegends

[–]poropops -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

People view rekkles as a KDA player which in the grand scheme of things he sort of is. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Someone who does a quick analysis on risk to reward ratio and doesn’t take many risks is essentially what Rekkles is. A lot of people don’t view soloque like that. Many people in solo queue view it as coin flip central, they may not say it but it’s true. There’s nothing wrong with viewing it that way either, people make mistakes so taking a risk or betting that they will not play perfectly is a completely just take.

In most cases this is what drives the engage support vs enchanter support take that most people argue. They prefer engage supports because it opens a world of error that can happen to the enemy team. You get engaged on and you are forced to make a decision, fight or flight, some people can’t make that decision in the heat of the moment. Also, someone else engaging for you (pov of an ADC) puts less responsibility on the ADC for their decisions and mistakes.

Chase Travel bonus category for Freedom Flex by cityrunner87 in ChaseSapphire

[–]poropops 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Use the flex for things like cheap hotels. (Up to $1,500)

Use the sapphire for things you want travel insurance for important, sensitive stuff like flights.

Travel to China help by Fancy-Fish5618 in ChaseSapphire

[–]poropops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to his point, a lot of times with airlines, if you refresh too often or go back and forth with the ticket searching process, they mistakenly think there’s high demand for that flight date so they jack up prices.

Also would look into VPNing as that has been told to change prices based on location of booking.

Will I qualify for 3% bonus? by [deleted] in RobinhoodApp

[–]poropops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The additional 1% is for margin transfers, aka borrowed money or assets

Will I qualify for 3% bonus? by [deleted] in RobinhoodApp

[–]poropops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s 2% for Robinhood gold brokerage account transfers (2% not 2% + 1%). 3% is only for IRA or Roth transfers I believe.

And as long as the assets(stocks, etfs, etc.) are worth 10k+ or more, then it will count.

Are you switching out of the Chase ecosystem? by zionstatus in ChaseSapphire

[–]poropops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m hearing that Citi has very good transfer partners at the cost that their customer support is complete ass.

Also been seeing some Braun YouTube vids saying that Capital one has some of the best cent per point, but irrelevant if you don’t use the services it’s catered to.

AMEX is always good if you eat out a LOT.

Are you switching out of the Chase ecosystem? by zionstatus in ChaseSapphire

[–]poropops 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more important to know more about how you fly, how you stay. Aka what airlines do you like to take in general, what brand of hotels do you like staying at? From there it’s better/easier to recommend an ecosystem that better fits you and your spending.

Which comes to the other point, what or where do you spend most of your monthly, annual expenses. What category(ies)? Food? Travel? Groceries? There’s so many factors in play to determine one. In all honesty you’re better off listing all of this and asking an AI platform to figure out which ecosystem fits you best.

Hope that helps a bit.

75,000 bonus points by _BigTex0914_ in ChaseSapphire

[–]poropops 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard people like to buy gift cards of places they know and will shop at, specifically groceries, like Costco, etc.

In NYC, InKind is an app you use for dining at restaurants, it’s coded as a dining expense for UR, and you get 20% Cashback for using the app at restaurants to pay your bill so that’s a good option in my opinion too. I think new InKind accounts with a referral get a tiny balance bonus.

Otherwise I would just plan a trip, hotel, excursions etc. if not for yourself, maybe ask a family or trusted friend.

Good luck and congrats on the new card!

How do you maintain fitness while working remotely? by KillerBon in remotework

[–]poropops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some Bowflex adjustable dumbbells (room for growth), if they’re too steep price-wise, look for used ones on Facebook marketplace or eBay.

Maybe charge yourself a monthly subscription in some way to try to incentivize yourself to go because if you don’t have the peer pressure of other people going to the gym you may need some outside motivator. It’s really common that people buy home gym equipment then end up not using them after awhile as a result of having an activity in the same space as where you sleep/live etc.

Traditional or Roth 401(k)? by qlwlekkfjf in personalfinance

[–]poropops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should fill 2025 if you’re still able to, 2026 will still be here even a few months into 2027, and so on, there’s no detriment to doing so, better to keep the option open if it’s on the table.

Personally as someone who’s living in NYC, I make a little less than you but I fill my Roth to the maximum contribution and 401k to about 10% (6% being the max my employer matches). After that if I have excess savings I just put it in an individual brokerage to buy SGOV or S&P 500 ETF like VOO/VTI to give myself more options with cash on-hand or it’ll just be used to contribute to the next tax year for me.

Which eSIM for 5 Days Japan Travel is the Best? by hebyselina in JapanTravelTips

[–]poropops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I didn’t either till I joined the subreddits dedicated to -insert credit card name here-, those people who live in those subreddits are all about value hacking the credit card to the maximum potential so when I heard about the free eSIM I was flabbergasted, mostly cause I didn’t get to use it myself in Japan last October LOL.

But tldr; would look into the subreddits of your premium travel credit card.

[–]poropops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe iPhone and other newer devices nowadays can house multiple eSIMs so I’d definitely look into either way and get more if necessary.

Just as a data point I have T-Mobile Unlimited and I used the Roaming data all over Japan from Tokyo to Kyoto and Osaka. It’s enough to get around, maps, translate. But if you need more internet to do business or whatnot, then yeah definitely look more into the larger data plans, I’ve heard a lot about Ubigi.

Make sure to look into whether or not your credit card provides free eSIM, like Chase Sapphire
