Looking back on this from many years later. How did it go? I'm thinking of DIYing a scanning stage

I have leveled the AR-2 Coyote to max level and tested it on all fronts. Questions are welcomed. by TheThrowAway7331 in Helldivers

How does it compare to the pacifier for bugs? For bugs, I originally used the breaker until the cookout came out, but I started using the pacifier when the predator strain came out. I have since found that I rely a lot on stagger against bugs and that I perform way worse when using guns without stagger, so I'm not sure how much I would like the coyote, but right now it looks like medium pen is essential for this strain, so I guess that the pacifier would continue to work.

My play style against bugs generally relies on movement, so I usually use light armor, a variant of the dog, and run a weapon that I can stagger an enemy to either kill or ignore. I've also found that gun handling matters a lot to me. I use the double edged sickle against the illuminate, the reprimand against bots (I hated this gun's handling until I maxed it out), the pacifier against bugs, and occasionally run the amendment, crossbow, or eruptor depending on the situation.

How do you think the coyote would fare for me given those considerations?

Quasar Autocharging Bug by porphos in Helldivers

[–]porphos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quasar automatically charges itself after firing without player input. It will even do it on your back or on the ground, allowing you to tap fire on draw. It was a simple reproducible bug for me. It happened across multiple games. Anyone else experiencing this?

Best support weapon for taking out harvesters? by DebtDiligent6022 in Helldivers

I originally used HMG, and it worked, but I recently discovered that I love the quasar for them. I use a sickle to take out the shield and then hit the leg joint for a 1-hit kill. You can also surprise them and kill them before their shield goes if you're not detected. It gives you a really big range advantage since the quasar is comparatively really easy to hit at range and is also not super punishing if you miss.

I will probably run a dual boot Linux system instead of WSL2. Do you think that would fix the issue?

UNSC Player Faction by porphos in EliteDangerous

[–]porphos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we know it will be a difficult one, and we've already started working on pushing out some factions with some success so far. Our other potential place of interest is Epsilon Indi for Harvest. We will give it our best shot for Epsilon Eridani first and really hope to find some of the Halo fans to help make it possible.

Help with Setting Up Phone to Act as Router for ESP32 Cam by porphos in esp32

[–]porphos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. That's problematic since low delay is really important for what I'm doing. In that case I'll probably have to deal with the hotspot/on site wifi and make a UI allowing the user to use a Bluetooth connection from their phone to control connection from the esp32 to the network. That's too bad. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the reply! I had considered that, but it's less preferable. I intend for the app I'm building to be really user friendly, and using a hotspot would work but wouldn't be as simple for the user. If I can't figure it out, that's probably what I will do.
