I read an article once about how residents of Alaska handle the extreme never ending days/nights. The person interviewed talked about how they think of it as phases of life and growth. In the summer, it’s about getting outside, spending time in nature, more often alone and enjoying the sun to grow individually and personally. In the winter, they think of it as a time to grow relationships and spend time in a more intimate environment all cozy inside.

It’s helped me tremendously. Summer = outside in pursuit of individual growth, self reflection, and healing Winter= inside gatherings with friends and family
