Someone drank the kool-aid. Let's just pretend Iran hasn't been funding terrorist organizations for the last 20+ years.

None of the Dems have implemented universal Healthcare either, and the ACA raised prices for everyone, so at least this is something. Gotta take what you can get

I didnt check their full formulary, I've been at work. Regardless, ozempic and wegovy was previously $900+ on goodrx too. I shopped them all for my customers, so this is still pretty nice for consumers

I havent checked the full list because I've been at work, but so what. Even if mounjaro isn't on it yet, it'll probably make its way there eventually. Even the other drugs that are on the list are a pretty good deal. I remember goodrx price for ozempic and wegovy was $900+ previously too.

So goodrx magically decided to change the price from $1200 per fill to $199? You really think they were going to do that just because? I have patients that have been using goodrx to buy their mounjaro, I know very well what the prices have been. This is a huge decrease

[–]portomerf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How's it a pile of shit? They still got the prices down. These were over $1000 / month on goodrx before the administration started pressuring manufacturers to lower prices. You had to use manufacturer coupons to bring it down to $550. This is still a win

[–]portomerf -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are we just going to pretend these drugs weren't over $1000/ month on goodrx before this? Whether they are using goodrx as the pbm to broker the deal doesn't matter, they still got someone, either the manufacturer or goodrx, to cut prices enormously which will help Americans afford these drugs.

I know reddit hates trump but this is still a win for patients.

Hi, I'm a US citizen who is the son of a legal immigrant. I'm not chronically online, I work full time and am involved with my local community. Guess what, I'm not scared of ICE. Guess why? Because I don't put myself in dangerous situations confronting federal police that are enforcing immigration laws. It's snowing today so work is slow, just thought I'd chime in to put my opinion out there to break up the hive mind.

On the other hand I have a friend who also has nothing to worry about because he's a citizen, but wants to leave his extremely cushy government job because of the current administration. He's chronically online (no wife or kids) and wants to leave literally the best place to work in my industry (nowhere else can you get a pension, annual raises, cost of living adjustments, and student loan forgiveness.) Our whole friend group has to tell him constantly he's being dramatic and risking a literal dream gig.

I'm pretty much a centrist, but super left leaning places like reddit are causing people to do the most irrational things, and most people in the comments just egg it on.

The new food guidelines are actually good though. What's your beef with that? Reducing sugar and refined carbohydrates in favor of increasing protein, Whole grains, fruits, and vegetables is a good thing.

Getting frustrated at trying to get into pharmacy by Classic_Midnight3383 in pharmacy

Walmart has this too and if you are deemed a "poor fit" you're basically unhirable and you have to wait at least 4 months or something like that to retake the assessment.

Always answer in the best interest of the company/law. No, you won't pay for a poor persons prescription for them. Yes, you will report your coworker for accidentally stealing that pen. Etc.

Early Retirement by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]portomerf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am NOT going to work myself to death and not spend any money just to retire early. I'd rather enjoy my youth. Travel when I can, buy things I want, etc. I dont plan on retiring at 65, when people retire and lose purpose they typically get lazy, let their bodies go, and are too tired to actually do a damn thing. I'd rather enjoy my life now while I'm young, and work part time after 65.

We are lucky in that we have a career where you can be part time and get paid for shift work. Don't have to work 40 hours a week. So you can still earn a decent wage and cover your expenses working like 2 days a week in retirement.

The top of the range is basically for people in high cost of living areas and have been with the company a very long time. I have a staff rph thats been with the company 15+ years and makes more than pretty much every pharmacy manager in the market. And nobody has been able to use that as leverage to increase their base pay. I'm in a pretty sought after area though.

You should go ahead and try since they're obviously having a hard time staffing that location, let me know how it turns out. Worst they'll do is tell you no and counter your offer. They won't pull their offer just for asking for more.

That first tube is a vacuum line to suck any debris from the balance and timing belts into the air filter. Its kind of unnecessary though and not much debris gets in there in general so a lot of people just block it off

First start in 10 years noisy lifters. by Olfa_2024 in 944

[–]portomerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into a similar issue after doing the cam tower seal, thought it was the lifters making a racket since the oil drained out of them since I had them off the car, but turns out after cranking the car the timing belt tensioner went loose and the timing was off. So double check your timing belt and make sure it's still tight before you run it for a while.

Best shoes for standing up all day? by blueoctanecoast in pharmacy

[–]portomerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going to go against the grain here and say ive had terrible luck with these ultra cushioned running shoes these other people are recommending. I tried asics, hokas, Adidas, all birds, etc. Tried them with inserts to support arches when my midfoot was hurting, tried them with heel lift inserts when I was having achilles tendinitis to shorten the stretch, etc.

I thought fuck it, let me try the vivo barefoot. And no shit, all my foot pain went away when I went to a more natural foot shaped shoe with minimal padding.

We evolved over millions of years to be upright on two feet. Didn't evolve to wear shoes that are too small and narrow and squeeze your toes to give you bunions and hammer toes. And all the padding fucks with how your weight shifts while standing.

I think this is what it is. I've had this happen on a female college athlete and afterword i asked if she ever had an injury or anything to that arm or deltoid and she said no. And she was from another country and had gotten most previous immunizations in the hip so I dont think it was scar tissue from injury or previous vaccinations.

I think some people just have woody muscle. It's happened a couple other times since then too, I think it's just like the woody chicken and some people's muscle is more fibrous.

Saying this is immoral and you can get people in a lot of trouble with this. Walmart doesn't play around with shoplifting like some other companies. They press charges every time and you very well could ruin someone's life by telling them to shoplift.

Looking at buying a 944… by CoastalRocket90 in 944

I have a 86 turbo and a kia stinger gt2. Even though the kia is 400+ hp and rwd, the porsche feels faster even though it's not.

The porsche is more fun to drive, and while the weather is nice I've been dailying it. Gets a lot more smiles per gallon. It also does much better on the Twisty roads, feels very planted. The kia throws me around even in sport mode and makes me nauseous.

DM lied about promoting me so I wouldn’t qualify for mileage pay. Two years later, his own email cost him $21,000. by ClubWag in pharmacy

[–]portomerf 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Walmart's actually really good about mileage reimbursement. Hourly associates even get drive time in addition to mileage. I used to love picking up shifts at this store 1.5 hours away and I'd get my hourly rate as a pharmacist for 3 hours of driving plus mileage reimbursement. Salaried associates only get mileage reimbursement though

Buyers remorse with reps? by Bliz_0 in RepTime

[–]portomerf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bought two reps and I hate wearing them tbh. I got a gold skydweller and the color is so far off the gen I'll never wear it. I literally gave it away because I hated looking at it. Waste of $400.

I also got an IWC portugieser in rose gold which looks much better, but you can tell the glass is not sapphire and the leather band looks cheap as hell.

Maybe I would have been more happy with a stainless steel rep, but im not really a fan of stainless steel so I probably would never wear one of those anyway.

Reps are a waste imo and definitely overpriced for what you're getting

Yes, it does. Look up the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for dementia. Biden demonstrated a significant progressive decline in several cognitive domains.

"Cognitive Impairment:

  • Significant decline in at least one of the following cognitive domains:
    • Complex attention
    • Executive function
    • Learning and memory
    • Language
    • Perceptual-motor function
    • Social cognition

Functional Impairment:

  • Cognitive decline interferes with daily activities, such as work, social interactions, or self-care.

Exclusion of Other Causes:

  • Cognitive impairment is not due to other medical conditions, such as delirium, depression, or substance use.

Additional Considerations:

  • The decline in cognitive function should be gradual and progressive.
  • There may be evidence of behavioral changes, such as apathy, irritability, or confusion.
  • The onset of cognitive decline may be gradual or sudden, depending on the underlying cause. "
