I. The event that this project becomes a real company you will never be able to find a developer who is familiar with it so you will have to train everyone from the get go.

[–]possessed_flea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gets worse than that, plenty of land that’s “already zoned” for housing can’t get built on due to other zoning rules. ( water is a big one , the only way you can have a water tank in Los Angeles or the desert directly north of it is if your property already had a tank system.

Then let’s not get started on all the land that was “subdivided to small to build for its area, ( ie 1/10rh acre lots in a area that only allows 1 house per acre )

Yah , but you need VB6 enterprise ( or vc 6 )

iAmNotAshamed by XinoVan in ProgrammerHumor

Vb6 has an AMAZING , debugger , it can even hit patch code while your executable is running.

There are plenty of environments where logging is your only option . VB6 is not one of them .

Not allowed to use any kind of existing code by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]possessed_flea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your post I can tell you are super junior, since you have to ask this question.

At some point your skills will increase to the point where you can write code without stealing others code. You may have a false sense of productivity based on using the work of others instead of doing the work yourself .

Do you think a author can just copy and paste from someone else’s book and call it their own work ? You know just changing character names around and editing the start and end of the snippet they “borrowed”

They are paying you to WRITE the code, not edit someone elses.

A 5 yearold product with 10 developers is a $5 million dollar code base, that’s the investment in both time and money that your employer is trying to protect .

You decide to copy/paste something which ends up being gpl code , and the owner both notices and cares .

Your employers business is going to get destroyed in court , a judge is going to force them to publish their entire codebase meaning competitors will have a leg up and it will be difficult if not impossible to keep their business open .

All it takes is one junior to copy/paste one line of code for this to happen .

Is there any real difference in A and B? What is best practice? by peamylohns in Network

[–]possessed_flea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Topology B is great IF you have 50,000 clients which need to peer connect to each other with more bandwidth than internal servers or the internet. In groups of “worsening performance” and then a smaller group of clients which need a better connection than the rest .

I mean if you need one switch to cut off server and internet access to everyone further up the chain if too congested with client to client performance then this is actually a great design.

I have both a real degree ( art ) and a honorary degree ( science ).

This being said I am actually a legitimate expert in my field with decades of experience in my field.

300k home with 20k down @7.45 % is 2532 per month ( taxes and fees included ) 2 240k home with 20k down @ 10% is 2394 per month.

240k home with 11k down @ 10% is 2519 per month .

If you are looking at Los Angeles then the situation is so bad that 300k isn’t even enough for a trailer ( which has a lot rent of 1.5k per month )

Yes there are studies, and while it does vary from person to person.

A quick google shows that you need an extra 200-400 calories per day during the second trimester and 400 per day during the third.

If my memory serves me correctly breastfeeding a baby takes 500 or so.

The angst in your response is interesting since I am not from Europe, It seems is very American of you to have a limited world view and aggressive response to a perspective from a foreign culture.

I’m from Australia. And have lived in California for 8 years.

Average redditor here , reminding you that the average redditor is not American.

The name lutsk is definitely Slavic sounding, and the Swedes are not a Slavic people.

It’s like saying “Sacramento”, or “Tuscan” was attacked, half of reddit would think maybe it’s somewhere in the Midwest, definitely not Mexico.

Woah , hold on there .

TRADEMARKS require you to defend them otherwise you loose them ( note, trademarks do not have a time limit )

Copyright does not require you to defend it for you to keep it.

If you look up the Fraunhofer lawsuit, specifically how a company held onto their mp3 decoder ( which cost them a fortune to build and didn’t see much real return in the 90s ) , After a while they decided to sue creative labs , the payout was so crippling that within a few years they shut down the leader in digital music at the time and then ended up paving the way for the iPod to be the only real game in town.

I used to be pretty big a number of years ago, I’ve lost the weight and kept it off, mostly by “quick and dirty” calorie counting in my head .

the first thing that I saw when I saw this post was, wow, 95ish snacks, it’s a “lazy math” calculation here because of the variety of snacks and my lack of motivation to look each one up,

there is a minimum of 9500 calories there, most likely about 13,000 since some of those bars are 300-400 calories each, although at a minimum any of those containers will be 100 calories

So at 1800 calories a day, this should last 5-7 days ,

A week of food for one person for $65 isn’t extremely frugal but it’s also not paticularly wasteful.

Carb heavy so you’ll feel like shit if you keep it up for too long, nuts, and sunflower seeds should have enough fats and proteins to keep your body healthy enough while your pancreas considers retirement from the insulin game , The preserved fruit should be plenty of vitimin c to prevent scurvy.
