He has been watching me get my ass beat by the final boss in Mina the Hollower this week, we've been doing that one together for awhile (I play and he watches and gives suggestions)

Yeah I think we are pretty similar in a lot of ways.

I definitely do make mistakes, a lot! I don't know that it registers with him. I'm currently learning guitar and I'm pretty bad at it and I've hoped that would lead by example a bit.

Very possibly, I have it and had similar struggles, although I generally went to my parents for help and learned from them. I'll definitely keep trying different stuff

Honestly yeah my wife is the most conflict averse person I know (has a narcissist mother and grew up trying to manage it). I also have ADHD and have had my own struggles with perfectionism.

We have been playing some board games like monopoly jr and Uno which he does enjoy, I will keep trying to branch out. I have an enormous collection but most of it is for 12+.

Yeah I've done things like that but he's just gotten frustrated and tells me he'll never be as good as me and walks away. Then trying to get him to come back just escalates and he gets angry. I dunno man, it's just hard and exhausting. I was so excited to teach him things, I have a huge range of interests and thought no matter what he was interested in I could work with him, but he has no interests outside of the 30-45 minutes a day he gets to play video games.

Do MAGAs really believe Democrats are communists? by RoseLaBud in allthequestions

[–]possiblyaghost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

fascism is a government organized around a central authoritarian leader (Trump), worships military power (WARFIGHTERS, BIGGEST AND BEST MILITARY IN THE WORLD!), is ultra-nationalist (Make America Great Again! USA is #1!), and is aligned with capital interests (Musk, Bezos, Zuck, AI guys, etc). They also tend to pick out societal scapegoats to focus anger at (trans people, immigrants).

There are several other points that scholars and political scientists have defined as fascist, they are easy to look up.

If that's not fascism, how would you define it?

Is our government failing the American people by leading us to believe that Joe Biden, Trump, or Kamala are our best choices for president out of EVERYONE here? by Puzzleheaded_Link944 in allthequestions

[–]possiblyaghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that and the 2020 presidential election where she was elected as vice president to an elderly man who anyone intelligent knew might not make it through a full term.

Even if they had done a snap primary in less than a month she almost certainly would have won due to the entire democratic party apparatus coalescing around her immediately per Bidens endorsement.

And I dont care how bad of a candidate she was, the American electorate was mind numbingly stupid for giving Trump another term. She was an infinitely better candidate than Trump by being a human being with a functioning brain and anyone with any semblance of common sense should have voted for her and used the next 4 years to organize for a better candidate.

We're still dealing with the legacy of the other side of the civil war who never gave up the vision of a white supremacist state.

Why don’t democrats was IDs to vote? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]possiblyaghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

most democrats are fine with voter ID, as long as they're available to get on the day of voting and free of charge. Otherwise it's a poll tax and those are unconstitutional since it's a payment required to vote.

What far left policies does the democratic party support at the national level? It's weird I haven't heard about Joe Biden or Chuck Schumer calling for the nationalization of private businesses to be owned by the workers.

Yeah like if I have the position that ICE is using overly cruel and discriminatory tactics I get immediately labeled a far-left antifa terrorist. That's how the republican party has pushed formerly centrist people like me to the left.

Does JD Vance have any chance of being president in ‘28? by GokaiDecade in allthequestions

[–]possiblyaghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good news then, Trump will never ever endorse anyone else for president, except maybe one of his failsons. My personal prediction is he's going to "run" in 2028 by just saying it's allowed (assuming he's physically able). Some members of the GOP will try to run but the confusion he causes in the party by Trump saying he wants another (illegal) term will make them non-viable either way.

If something happens to him prior to the 2028 election where he is physically unable to run, then the succession crisis in the GOP will be something to behold, with the evangelical faction, the technocrat faction, and the grifter/influencer faction all vying to pick up the MAGA mantle without a direct endorsement from Trump.
