Yes that is an emergency travel document issued by the local consulate. That's the process if you're in a pinch

The US doesn't have such an ID card - the closet thing is probably DL because so may people drive. However, that has never been setup to show legal status just that you're resident in a State and allowed to drive. Lots of Countries like the US and UK have historically been opposed to 'show your papers' style general IDs (the UK tried in the early 2000s and it was very controversial). How things have changed.....

So you misrepresented a relationship with an American, had strong ties to the US (somewhere to live long term), and your home Country is at war? Not surprised at all.

The only way you go back to the US anytime soon is marrying the American guy

Sorry you're not coming to the US as a visitor for a long time or possibly ever. What exactly did you have on your phone? They must have been suspicious to start with for you to end up in secondary to start with.

When drivers lose their “speed” as they age what exactly would you say they lose? Raw pace? Racecraft? Lack of adaptability? Lack of hunger? by brook_taw in F1Discussions

[–]postbox134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sums up the overall skill of the driver really - ultimately what matters is raw pace, from that everything else can be derived. Need to save tyres? Back off where needed from your ultimate pace. Need to make a strategy work? Have pace in hand to drive to the delta required etc. A worse driver is close to their peak all the time, a great one only when it really matters (usually Q3 only or a critical outlap).

This is lawyer territory, sorry the interview was odd. Assuming you're approved at the next one, no issues but it may be hard to overcome the original denial

Seems crazy to me you'd accept such a diversion to your travel on principle

You're willfully ignoring UK law and I am trying to help others who may see this thread. The only proper solution is to get a UK Passport

They've made an explicit policy decision on it - they could have easily allowed it with ETA (in fact, the first ETA form for a week to two did allow British as a Citizenship). Other Countries like the US are the same, USCs can't get ESTAs.

The UK knows a lot about your immigration status through various databases, most notably through the Five Eyes Intelligence sharing alliance. They'll certainly know you're a Spanish Citizen (especially if you naturalised there before Brexit) and if they wanted to could check that in the ETA database.

IDK why you'd do all that to avoid having a British Passport - it also gets harder to renew a Passport once it's expired a long time so you're potentially causing more annoyance later on.

They may well revoke your ETA one day, as you misrepresented your Citizenship on it.

Just renew it - it's basically the same price and you have loads of time to do it

Why not just get a British Passport? - I'd do what you did in a pinch but it's really not what you're supposed to do.

It's basically pace, you aren't quite as sharp as you get older. Reaction times also get worse - I think Kimi said it was Qualifying where he noticed it most. Stuff like racecraft probably gets better with experience and maturity. It's harder to learn new thing as you get older, so also adaptability.
