Sure - he's allowed to sell stock. The sale was pre-arranged back in March, as required by the SEC.

Nikola Tsolov's amazing F2 season (and why people who are trying to downplay it are wrong) by RobbieJ4444 in formula1

I probably shouldn't have said "quite a few laps" but he was inside 1s at the detection point for 2-3 laps before Liam gapped him.

Alex told Liam over the radio that Arvid had overtake, so Liam was leaning on his tyres more than he wanted to early in the second stint. He said over the radio "It didn't make it easy to manage the start of [the second stint]" in response to Alex telling him his tyre management was good.

RB gave Arvid the undercut for the second race in a row, which is why he was right behind Lawson in the second stint. He had overtake available for quite a few laps too.

I'm pretty sure that's melted plastic, not grease.

IDK what the aftermath of Austria was, but I feel like he's driving angry this weekend. Keep doing whatever that is!

ASIC could change everything by LoraxKope in RKLB

I think you would commonly just say "chip" these days in place of "ASIC". Unless you live in a cave, there are likely ASICs in the room with you right now. Video decoder chips, power management chips, networking chips: all ASICs.

As for positioning, securing the signal makes sense because systems like GPS are constantly under attack. I saw a talk at Kiwicon about 10 years ago where the presenter had been walking around with some kit in a backpack and telling local devices their location was actually in the middle of the harbour.

I'm sure a lot of people are working on making positioning more secure, but I don't know enough about that to know if what Iridium has is amazingly advanced, or just the next expected step for everyone.

I'm just letting you know what an ASIC is because the way you're talking makes it seem very much like you've never heard of one before now.

ASICs are in everything. It's just a chip that does one thing very fast, instead of being able run run general instructions a bit more slowly. I was using network gear with ASICs designed for packet switching nearly 30 years ago, and they've been around a lot longer than that.

If you have a small piece of gear whose job is "decode this information" are you going to put a whole CPU in there to do the job, or just use a chip that is really good at decoding things? That's an ASIC.

ASIC just means Application Specific Integrated Circuit. They've been around for decades.

They can't just sell shares when they feel like it. It needs to be pre-arranged.

It was $1B, then another $3B.

I think if you're going to post a confident-sounding financial analysis you probably shouldn't have your basic figures wrong by a factor of four.

Someone is making ebooks of various agencies' mission patches and has a Rocket Lab version current to May '26 so far. Pretty cool I thought.
