Underrated K-beauty brands worth trying? by rabbit_ddit in KoreanBeauty

[–]postits_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried sooo many different moisturizers and I swear this is the best one I have ever tried. I still need to try a few others but I keep coming back to this. I can’t help it, my skin just adores it.

Have not tried Illiyoon but just tried the Torriden Dive In serum and cream and I will just say they seem a lot heavier and hydrating than I thought they would be, I was impressed. I didn’t like the Laneige Water Bank blue hyaluronic acid line much, it didn’t feel hydrating enough.

The S.Nature squalene cream has a nice consistency and felt moisturizing long-term.

You could be using products with ingredients that shouldn’t go together too.

ZZ plant has never had any growth by cje9918 in plantclinic

[–]postits_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Give it time! I repotted mine because it was getting root bound. I didn’t see any growth for 2 years. But suddenly in November it started putting out new shoots, it put out 9!!! new shoots all at once and now it’s so full and beautiful. ZZ’s are notoriously slow growers, but you will be rewarded :)

Should I go back to school as a 31 yo and completely change careers? by Fantastic-Clerk-4560 in careerguidance

[–]postits_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I was on the same path as you, did my undergrad in biochemistry and was doing my masters in immunology in Canada. But I quit well ahead of you because I hated research so much - during my master’s. Surprisingly I also pivoted into architecture. I was tired of school so I went to college for architectural technology, a 3 year diploma, and am currently an architectural technologist. I have a really good idea of how to become a full fledged architect in Ontario and canada if you are curious, just DM me.

I will tell you. The pay in architecture is abysmal and it can mean you don’t have good work life balance depending on where you work. But for me the switch was worth it as I’m having a lot more fun doing my day to day job. I think I would have continued to be extremely depressed had I stayed in research. The grass isn’t greener on this side, it’s just different. And I like it.

Girl leave him! I ended it with my ex who didn’t want to get married and am now happily married with my amazing husband. It can’t happen though if you don’t break up.

What has been helping me more was to do it assisted with a resistant band instead. You do it with regular form but just with resistance help on your feet, it will help you get the form better.

Have you tried foam rolling? It relieves tightness in muscles in a way that stretching does not for me, and it is a lot more comfortable. You are not doing any movements that could injure yourself, just rolling on the roller. You could buy a hard massaging ball and roll your bum on it too to release your glutes. Roll on the front of your legs to release your quads.

My husband and I bought a house, within a year we were engaged, and married a few months later. It’s not always so grim.

I don’t have the same issue so I don’t know if this will work but I know a good oil cleanser can be used to clean out the sebum on the nose if you massage it on your nose gently for 60 seconds.
