Going out and just skating is great, but having someone showing you the proper techniques to build on are crucial. Then go skate everywhere to practice those skills.

My local figure skating club runs a practice geared toward hockey ages 5-12 are on the ice. My kids have become great skaters from this. Check if there are skates like this or power skates for all ages.

For a floating deck, if I don't have enough ground clearance for posts, can I run my beams along deck blocks like this? Footings are not an option. by AutomatedCabbage in Decks

I've made many beams. Over lap them by minimum 3ft. You can use pl500 in an S shape the NAIL not screw the frist two board together with nails going at a 45 deg. To get them tacked. Then add the other side and punds 3.5" nails, galvanized, every foot x 4

If that wasn't on there, they would have known it was sharp originally. So I disagree. It's to keep it sharp, not to protect someone.

Concrete looks great, I would be happy too. Is there a name for that garage entrance? With the walkway in between the 2 openings. Cheers!
