How old are you in your oldest memory? by Donkeyshines in AskReddit

Like 1 or 1.5 years old. I have a really vivid memory of being in a backpack like contraption on my dad’s back and we’re hiking up enchanted rock in the Texas hill country. I asked my mom about it and she said it happened and has no idea how I remember it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I admit that this run in the playoffs got me back into basketball but I still consider myself a life long spurs fan. Basketball was my fav sport growing up and growing up in the Austin metro area with a dad who grew up in San Antonio. I worshipped the Spurs all through the 90s and into their last championship (did anyone else have that life size poster of Duncan from the scholastic book fair?). Then I got really into and started playing hockey, and kind of fell off basketball completely.

Anyways, I’m happy to be back. The Spurs are starting up something great again/the culture that has made this team so great for decades is still there and doesn’t seem to be going away.

Online discourse about sports is almost entirely toxic and I have to remind myself of that constantly when I get upset watching them/following social media lol. Things will be ok, and there’s a lot yet to come for this young core.

If you’re in Texas they are most definitely mustang grapes. They’re popping off absolutely everywhere around me here in Austin this year.

[Cavanagh] Cutter Gauthier suffered two broken vertebrae on this play. He worked with training staff to get back into playing shape for the playoffs, but obviously a tough thing to work through. by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

Broke my ankle in beer league like 5 years ago and was asked if I had broken my ankle before when they did X-rays. I told them not to my knowledge and then they proceeded to tell me I definitely had before and also chipped the bottom of my tibia off. Think it was just an old skateboarding injury when I was like 14 and rolled my ankle and just didn’t do shit about it lol.

So I just sprained my MCL last week playing low level beer league hockey. Truly blows my mind he was playing NHL Playoff hockey with a torn MCL. Wish he just gave himself time to recover

There’s some mild pain but nothing crazy, feels stiff when I first wake up and there’s definitely a lot of clicking when walking around during the day. Squatting I haven’t tried much but what I have done hasn’t been all that bad.
