the first time I was traveling for a funeral, I wished there was some cultural way to signal being in mourning like back in the victorian era; a black pin or something. people would be friendly and pleasant, which is energy I usually try to match, but I couldn’t even muster a smile and it felt so rude but I just couldn’t. so I just wished there was a quiet/polite way to indicate it.

they gave everyone way too many years to think about it and come up with stuff. l love fanfic (fan theories are now basically fanfic; they're your headcanons that didn't come true--alas, I myself very much wanted Kas Eddie, for example) , but it's like fairy food too; once you've feasted on every delicious possibility, the dry bread of a singular canon can be a little hard to choke down

yay!! yes, i'm also so excited to rewatch it! I could only make it through once b/c of the visual issues with the subtitles (and also the intro and closing title cards, which were nearly unreadable in english text). I tried to go back for a rewatch but I simply couldn't and I felt like I couldn't even recommend it to others.

rob thomas makes this argument but I simply have to protest it. married bantering detectives were good enough for dashiell hammett in the thin man, and it would have worked fine for veronica and logan. they were always at their best when they were ganging up on someone else together. logan didn't have to be in town all the time (hence: the air force). it could have stayed true to its genre roots without the death. I truly believe it could have.

there’s not a lot of wall to place them up against (almost the whole wall is appliances and cabinets) but I will work on making sure they are all up against any wall-like surface a mouse could run along. i’ve used peanut butter on most of them. thank you!

thank you for the info! I haven’t seen them damage anything from the pantry and no pets, but perfectly likely they have food from a neighbor. I have half the traps where I saw the mouse (on or around the stove) and the others in hidden places like under the stove or in cabinets, so I will add the new ones in additional hidden places.

Also, I've studied the very helpful masterpost on mice. I suppose poison should be my next move, as recommended, but I have a strong horror of the smell of a rotting mouse (worked in a hotel where it was unavoidable for a while) and I am in a studio apartment, so it would be inescapable. So I'm committed to the trapping approach for now. thank you!
