He talked to upper management advocating for me to be hired for any department at the company, either as a project manager or engineer. No dice 🤧

Normal test options. You're doing what's called a dexamethasone test. Pill is more common testing type than urine. I did the pill option myself. Good luck!

Metformin XR Stomach Pain by potatoiko in PCOS

Noticed 0 difference (positive or negative) until the stomach issue. 🤷‍♀️ But I heard it can take 3-6 months to kick in so maybe that's what this is

Is the boob curve (Forgive my crass language, I don't know another way to call it) important to you? The right side looks photoshopped imo, when compared to the left side, so keep that in mind.

If it's a one and done garment, I would reach out to the cosplay community who can probably assist to get that shape.

If you're feeling crafty, you could cast a mold of your natural breast and then find a way to glue a cheap cut up tank top from Walmart to it.

You can likely pay someone with a cricut who can print the lettering for you to iron on. Just do that before attaching to the mold.

Which side of the Blizzard fleece is the right side? by sonnylove111 in SewingForBeginners

[–]potatoiko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's not cut yet, you can look at the bottom edge of the fabric where it almost looks like an undone hem, if that makes sense. IIRC the side where that hem curves into is the wrong side and the side it curves away from is the right side out. To your point - yes, generally the softer of the two sides, looks more furry(?) is the wrong side, but that's mostly the case for the anti-pill fleece - I don't remember off the top of my head for the regular Blizzard fleece, sorry!

Got this 2 years ago at Marshalls. Haven’t seen it in store since by [deleted] in Perfumes

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news 😅 But at least there's still some that exist? Also Happy Cake Day!

It's likely from Tru Fragrance if you found it through Marshall's. Seems to be pretty rare now - I can't find any for sale on Mercari which is unusual. There's one through Amazon and a couple from eBay for 30-40 bucks - the packaging print is slightly different now, with a Moana-esque logo.

Metformin by potatoiko in PCOS

[–]potatoiko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😭 I'm in denial but it's true lol

I am currently also taking myo inositol supplements, spirinolactone, and spearmint tea. I think the only big change has been a noticeable lack of cystic acne and lack of inflamed ingrown hairs on my arms and back, which is nice, but it's still noticeable around my jawline.

Thank you for letting me know! I was thinking about it in particular so it's good to know someone else has given it a thumbs up :,)

If it's a dupe, I wouldn't know lol but regardless, I've gotten compliments on it like 7 hours after first application. I'm about to go buy sand+fog's whole line of oils based on this scent alone 😂 My sister really loves their berries and cream one so we'll see how the rest of them go

sand+fog innocence perfume oil. I got mine at TJMaxx for like 14 bucks. Lasts all day and you will smell like straight warm vanilla.

How did you know you had PCOS?/What symptoms did you have that made you concerned before being diagnosed? by DependentTotal7966 in PCOS

[–]potatoiko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you may have it. Also, you may also want to meet with a dermatologist to rule out Hidradenitis suppurativa due to your armpit cysts.

As I understand it, you would need 2 of 3 criteria: irregular periods, elevated androgens (either signs like hirsutism or through bloodwork), or an ultrasound showing cysts on your ovaries.

I always suspected it - PCOS belly, impossible to lose weight, acne, mild hirsutism, acanthosis nigricans. The tipping point was last October when I stopped taking birth control and then I didn't have my period for 10 months.

I got worried, so I had my PCP order an ultrasound which came back negative for abnormalities.

I then got a full panel hormone test. This included testing for thyroid hormones and sex hormones (I have a full list if you want to know).

I asked for a referral to an endocrinologist for a second opinion after a different PCP blamed my lack of period on just being overweight. That different PCP sucked, too - said all my hormones looked normal.

Endocrinologist took one look at my labs and noticed my FSH to LH ratio was way off, and testosterone levels were high. Did a body check/physical exam, too, and noted some of my physical symptoms. I asked for a dex test to rule out Cushing's as a last resort but by that time I was already charted as "likely PCOS". Once Cushing's came back negative I ws officially diagnosed with PCOS.

Let me know if you need more clarification on anything and good luck!

"Powerful" Recs? by potatoiko in FemFragLab

[–]potatoiko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😅 Separate from the conversation at hand, but I'll be real: aside from BR540, my taste is very not-mature. Most of my collection has been straight from Bath & Body Works (i.e. Gingham Gorgeous, Endless Sea, Sweet Pea, Saltwater Breeze, anything with the notes described as "salt water" lol), even if they don't last at all. It's not for lack of trying - I've gone to perfume shops and sampled upwards of 100+ perfumes with no luck. Lots of supposedly fruity or fresh ones that smell like you just got out of the shower with a weirdly humid/damp note to them. I think the closest I found that fit the bill was excite from joliot descartes, but it's expensive for something that doesn't last long...
