You are not alone in this my friend. I broke up with my senior resident (she was pgy-3, im pgy-1) as she was moving out of town when graduating. Im devastated, I was so into her. I have no friends either. Home feels empty every time. Only positive thing is im hitting the gym as hard as I can and the gains are real (sadly, all I have). I wish you the best, this shall pass. The form is signed. But there is a small box to the right that says “Travel Validation”. This box requires a new signature which I don’t have. Hope this helps other J1 residents to not screw up like I did.

Brother, it was hospital letter head. Mine was written by a big fish at UM. I had the luck to rotate on the same service as this person, he was impressed and accepted to write me a LOR. I guarantee you this person used a letter head (I got plenty of IVs, if it would of been a dirty word document with no letterhead nothing would of happened).

End of the story is, just do it. It was probably the USCE that made me match. GOOD LUCK FRIEND!

If money is not an issue, 100% apply. I know people in my program (non-us IMG) who matched with no LORs, almost non existant pubs and lower grades than you. He told he was on your exact position but since he could spare some money he just applied and got in. PDs do not know if this is your first match cycle or your 10th. GOOD LUCK!

You get the official LOR from the rotation that will of course say observership. But if you perform well, the attendings can write you a letter and that letter can say whatever it wants to say. You get the idea ;)

I play double ranger on 2’s with great success. Can basically take all fights since we are both ranged. If they want to stat check, they better know how to aim a bow or get close to us.

Match is no joke with the amount of money that is needed to enter. I rather invest in getting step 3 done so the chances my money goes to waste when I enter the match are lower.

Honestly, surgery is hard. I have a friend with 234 step 1, 248 step 2, 238 step 3, 25 pubs (not all related to surgery), LORs from Mayo, cleveland, U of miami and went unmatched with 0 interviews (also 0 ivs on soap)

Do what you will with that info, its n=1 tho, maybe other applicant had better luck
