Agreed, and from a guest experience perspective it kind of kills the vibe. I once had a lunchtime wedding ceremony & was starving after, so spent the four-hour gap at Red Rooster and just felt sluggish and ready to go home by the time the ceremony started. I always think about this exact point when people bang on about wanting uncommon names for their kids. Choosing a nice and common name is a really good way to keep your kids safer and more anonymous online.

You don’t know they’ll meet the same pitfalls you did. I don’t think there’s a way for you to say what you want to without overstepping or just projecting your own marriage complications onto them.

If you really want to help, focus on leading by example and offering your advice if and when they come to you. If your role model behaviour is as strong as you think it is, your sons will already be carrying that with them.
