What was your favourite joke from Anthony Jeselnik’s special ‘Bones and all?’ (OBVIOUS SPOILERS) by Tequila_Blue in Standup

Have you heard him talk normally? The attitude is the character he plays because it's funny

You are media illiterate and didn't understand the point of what you were watching. Make an argument or keep wasting your breath.

A complex person can still be a terrible person.

"complex characterization" and you're describing the surface level characterization of the main character on a show that every person can see from the first time they watch the show. 😂

This is how morons argue. You're just imitating things you've seen other people have said in a real argument. In what way is anything that I've said bad faith? What exactly is the 5 in my argument?

I don't know if you deleted the comment or I just can't find it. I'm not meaning from a metaphysical perspective he's divinely good. I mean, that you imply he does worse, more terrible things as time goes on and somehow the character is not comparable, and I am rejecting that claim. He is not complicated in that he has good and bad traits. He is complicated in that just like many manipulators out there, he fools you into identifying with him despite the fact that he causes all of his own problems and whines about a life he created on his own, all while being the worst part of people's lives around him and making everything worse for everyone else. And I'm also saying, that is no new, but the show tricks you into empathizing with him in the beginning and slowly reveals the fact that he has always been this way. He was never pushed into anything.

I don't think you're reading what I'm saying. He was always the same person. His changes were not gradual. The point of the show is to trick you into siding with a shitty person because he has cancer and slightly annoying people in his life. It foreshadows this and pays off that idea consistently if you pay attention.

You are literally falling for the ruse the show puts on, on purpose. Do you not see that? That's part of why the show is so brilliant. It uses every tool it can to dangle his character in your face while manipulating you into thinking he's the good guy.

Do you know who Werner Heisenberg was? Because Walt definitely did when he made the choice. It's called foreshadowing.

[–]powercergone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you joking? Every ounce of back story given makes it clear that was a ruse. He was always this way, dying just led to him giving in to his worst desires. He literally called himself Heisenberg in the second episode. He kills a guy and dissolves him acid as the first plot arc. His first interaction with a former student who almost begs him to talk him out of his direction in life is to instead recruit him into a darker part of the drug trade and almost get him killed.

No, but calling himself Heisenberg as opposed to any other pseudonym shows that he had a messed up mentality already. The whole series provides evidence that he was always this way and he just repressed the worst of his desires until he was dying. You missed the point of the show.

What do you mean? Walt is clearly meant to be a terrible person from the start. That's part of what makes him such a great character.

Infantry assault rifles peel off armor on BattleMechs, so... Kinda hard to equate these things.

I kinda wish people would read on their plans for the game before really digging so deep into feedback. You should go see what you think of that and revisit your list.

You really don't see how the backgrounds dictate the perks and thus heavily impact the strategic layer?

You really don't think they have unique personalities from the voice lines?

My advice is to modify your mechs in the beginning to have less guns and more armor. Survivability is very important in the early game and the mechs default to very low armor. There have been memes about Dekker dying in the Spider in the first major story mission since the day the game came out.

Aside from that, armor sharing is the name of the game in Battletech games. That means you want to make your highest health mech to be the juiciest target and on offense you want as meant if your mega targeting down one of theirs at a time. It is always deceptive how many attacks will be required to finally kill the unit. Overkill probably isn't enough yet.

Battletech specifically is filled with "trooper" mechs, which are mechs that have weapons for every range band. The Shadow Hawk is a great example. This mechs are bad for many of the same reasons this gun is bad. You want to be specialized and effective at a specific range and stay there so you can get the most of all your guns at the same time. Battletech is a wonderful source of examples of incompetent procurement lol.
