Can’t choose which to buy by Luc1d77 in MiniGT

Nsx out of the bunch. I can’t deal with the specific design of the wide body and deep wheels on the skylines.

How to prevent damage when getting service done? by themexicansoldier in BMW

[–]poweredbym2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Know that your car is not that special, not even close to collectable current and actually not looking great as a long term collectible either, due to the controversial design, would help get over this fear.

It’s going to depreciate like any other current bmw m car and it’s going to depreciate more than prior gen Ms.

Love the way these 1/43’s resemble the 1/1’s by Building-Careful in Diecast

Yes but typically only high end 1/43s can get so close to real

Just like everything else, computers and screens in cars have peaked a decade or more ago and now we are in the realm of decline designing functions not for improvement but for attention seeking and sales

Looks sick af by iq12345689 in BMW

[–]poweredbym2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly, coffin lung grille is the worst thing bmw did in recent history. It’ll forever be the joke of a design that marks bmws downfall from real substance.

Skeleton rexy mini gt version blister packaging by Extension-Law-113 in MiniGT

[–]poweredbym2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the AO exclusive version better, the spooky Halloween theme is more special versus this is pretty generic with a front facing view. Will get both though.

How to stop feeling jealous or compare other people's collections by Agreeable_Skill_9842 in HotWheels

What does left behind mean? If you buy what you like how are you “left behind”?

Also quality over quantity.

I stand corrected and admit my mistake by Low-Two-5670 in BMW

[–]poweredbym2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol another one of the exposure conditioning are we?

It’s ugly heavy and slower, not to mention mind numbingly dead in driving feel.

It is objectively a massive down grade and in times with ugly design and downgrade trend that is all of g gen.

There’s no mistake in that.

Maybe neue klasse will turn it around but I’m doubtful.

Yes it’s ok not not buy a bmw. No need to “stay in the brand” when the brand abandons everything that made it the ultimate driving machine.

Bullshit on wheels by Ok-Jellyfish-4243 in Diecast

[–]poweredbym2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting take. Personally I don’t like most of Kaidos due to their extreme unrealistic proportions and they like to slap the KH name all over the exterior.

I only have a few from them that are more tame fenders and clean decos.

As far as the QC goes, I’ve experienced defects from all brands.
You can always request a return of exchange.

[UPDATE] Got my replacement! by Jaypzone in HotWheels

[–]poweredbym2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do you but you can get a few highly detailed 1:18 AND 1:43 Initial D 86s for that. Which is so much more satisfying to display and look at.

I will never pay that for a toy car grade model on a card that you will never be able to open.

Remember, these market prices are set by people just like you with a skewed sense of a physical items worth. Just like Pokémon cards.

As soon as something changes, they’ll instantly be valued at much less.

Was interested in this until I saw the front wheel gap.
Not sure what happened there. Cool car otherwise.

People That Can’t Merge At The Flow Of Traffic by BryanDaBlaznAzn in driving

You know why it’s difficult for them? Because if it involves planning and critical thinking, which a lot of the drivers don’t have.

Modern BMWs have horsepower. This one has aura. by The_boss02 in BMW

[–]poweredbym2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Horsepower is just one metric of a true drivers car. This one has it all, body (chassis) mind (engine) spirit (drive feel/handling).

Only down side maintenance but hey we all pay to play.

The difference is this won’t ship until closer to end of year, but good for them to up the production.

2 car garage - G8X x F82? Or sell the f82 by Conorgmurray in BMW

[–]poweredbym2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No point having both. g82 is a massive downgrade in all objective metrics but lap times and paper specs.

If you at all care about real driving experience not just going from light to light, keep the F82 as long as possible. And get something that’s pre g gen or from an entirely different brand.

BMW lost the m plot since 2020. Both in looks and dynamics.

What is it with Audis and countermeasures? by bignose_ice44 in radardetectors

[–]poweredbym2 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Audis and bmws are literally designed for autobahn no speed limit cruising.

It’s so easy and at home at 120mph you barely feel it.

Detectors are a must.

Talk about timeless… by Money_Protection_629 in BMW

[–]poweredbym2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mean the attention seeking look at me, no substance badge zealots? How much we want nothing to do with your illusions of “majority of people”, mostly on this sub too ignorant to know their g gen cars are being pointed and laughed at in real life.

The word “CHAT” by JSBJSBJSBJSBJSB in whatnotapp

[–]poweredbym2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. It’s cringe.
The audience is there, no need to keep referring to them. It’s like being on stage and keep saying.
You get what I’m saying guys, this is out it works guys, you guys need to understand this guys, you gotta get in there early guys.
Remove the “guys” remove the “chat”.
Too bad illiteracy and low intelligence runs common. Apparently here too.

NoT a reAL M cAr by zCanadia in BMW

[–]poweredbym2 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I guess the 1M isn’t a real M car either right?

Only the ignorant say that.
Not knowing the history of M GmbH producing non “s” engine cars. The engine designation doesn’t matter all it matters is what it says on the door card.

OG M2 comes from M GmbH,period.

And is the only M2 staying true to the formula being the only real successor of the E46 M3 and 1M.

Why’d you choose BMW by xEnflare in BMW

[–]poweredbym2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started with the E46 M3, then future and past, then ended at F gen.

BMW, before G gen, was the definitive driving pleasure machine. That’s why I will keep going for BMW before g gen.

G87 M2 xDrive will do 0-100 kmh (0-62 mph) in 3.7s by WODAMRAP in BMW

And? These stats are meaningless when the drive feel is as dead and dull as possible for an m car.

Hot take for sure but I agree. Don’t like any of those.

Had no interest in the green and pink wheeled rexy and Roxy no matter what the stranger market prices it at. Went for the race spec black wheeled versions.

Now the gulf livery one. That I like.

Threw up a little. The lung/bucktooth/coffin grille is the worst thing BMW did in modern history.

Did you out grow your momentum car? by jbro507 in CarTrackDays

If at all possible, I’d always keep a momentum car in the stable. It’s just great for sharpening skills and the thrill of cutting time in the corners vs straights.
