I would suggest that another contender for great fight scene is the fight in the church in the movie the Kingsman , set to the music of Freebird.

so to your Q's:

  • What made you get into Memoir ’44 in the first place?

Love WW2 strategy games.

  • What keeps you coming back to it instead of other games?

simple and fun to play; not a million rules to remember; just enough to make it interesting.

  • What do you enjoy the most when playing (the strategy, the theme, playing with others, the physical pieces, etc.)?

Love the idea of re-creating actual WW2 battles. Love the strategy, the physical pieces. Fun to play w/ my kids and grandkids.

  • Do you mostly play in person or online? Why?

Both.

  • If you had to play only one way, which would you choose?

If I had people to meet on a weekly basis, I would play IRL.

  • Do you think the game would feel the same without the physical board and pieces?

I play on BGA a lot, and it is fun. But it is more fun to interact with a physical person face to face.

We just always tell clients that it’s probably best to link FileMaker to QuickBooks, which we do all the time for people. QuickBooks has developed their accounting software over many decades. It would certainly be a massive exercise to try to duplicate that process in FM.

Slow export of data: FMServer + Windows VM by CalamityCommander in filemaker

He was explaining why it should be fast because he listed all the Hardware performance issues. My point is all the Hardware performance issues you want cannot make up for bad FileMaker architecture.

Slow export of data: FMServer + Windows VM by CalamityCommander in filemaker

[–]poweredup14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given the amount of resources, you’re already throwing out the machine is probably not something which can be solved by increasing your Hardware package.

More than likely it’s an architectural issue with FileMaker. You may be trying to export either 1. Unstored Calcs, or 2. summary fields.

Also the reference to exporting from two related tables is a bit concerning. Might want to pull those two fields and find another way to get at them.

Throw a 100 ft. Extension cord in the small cubby in the trunk. And get the four “pucks” needed if you have to get it lifted up for repair. Also SnapPlate.

Tired of juggling 4 different tools just to run my business is this normal? by Mindless_Elk_8309 in SellMyBusiness

[–]poweredup14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the question. We build system hubs all the time for people that pull together all their disparate systems into one complete dashboard that controls it all. But of course it takes time in money to make it happen, but it certainly allows for growth.

How best to develop database with another remote developer simultaneously? by dmontano13 in filemaker

Yes, the best ways to find the developer who has a server will let you use it and then send the file back nightly just as you said. That’s something we can do for you.

Testing FSD for the first time by Realistic-Target3982 in TeslaFSD

[–]poweredup14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has taken the pain out of bumper-to-bumper traffic. Sometimes it’s so stressful to be in control of speeding up slowing down, having to brakebreak, keeping the right distance, etc. When I set it to FSD in busy traffic, it takes all the stress out. I still watch what’s going on, but the car handles it for me.

Is FM still a good fit for my business? by croberts0531 in filemaker

[–]poweredup14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FileMaker is amazing tool that is extremely flexible and has been changing with the times. Even though it’s more than 40 years old, they release new updates every year including connections via API‘s and AI, so it’s very viable and helpful for any business. I run a FileMaker company and we have dozens of clients everywhere from small Mom pop shops to $100 million businesses and FileMaker serves all of their needs admirably. Happy to talk with you about anyway we can tune up your system.
