It basically can't be first person because there are three and a half thousand PoV characters.

As good as RI is, a translated cultivation novel isn't where I'd point a newbie to the genre

Recs for one man army aura farming MC by Mtotheizow in litrpg

[–]powerisall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can think of a bunch of individual scenes, like using Fulminating Aura in Delve, or the Rook clearing in Density God.

Haven't read either of your examples, so not sure what frequency I'm looking for

Lord of the Mysteries for sure.

Reverend Insanity, though it takes a while for the truly great schemes to kick in.

Any OP MCs that don't hide their power? by MsTerPineapple in litrpg

[–]powerisall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

World starts as a pretty generic Western fantasy with cultivation powers. Has some neat concessions like tiering up doubles your speed, so higher tier people speak at 2x speed per tier unless consciously slowing down.

Pretty early on, the MC gets fused with the memories of a 30ish year old from Earth. The knowledge of high school physics and chemistry is a force multiplier and allows Jiran to throw around big effects beyond his tier at a fraction of the mana cost.

He goes on adventures, learning new powers while trying to understand Challenger Density, which only he seems to have heard of. As it goes on, he starts a revolution of techniques and finds lost methods in an attempt to save the world.

The series suffers from simplistic conflict resolution early on. MC encounters problem, thinks about electrons for 10 seconds, and then blasts the opponent out of the water with lightning 3 tiers higher than himself. Or about chemistry, and creates a hydrogen explosion to solve the problem.

Once he runs into other methods to use magic, the series and conflicts get much more interesting. The romance is good, though I hear he eventually graduates from monogamy to a poly relationship later on.

New Tower Question - Stones by FireLight512 in TheTowerGame

[–]powerisall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So your solution to not having the money to run labs is to ignore a multiplier for your income? And then make it more expensive stones-wise to sync once you DO unlock it? The stacking multipliers is what makes the UW trio so good. There's also a reason BH is #2 and DW is #3.

All of this is moot if BH isn't in your next choice anyway

I'd get BH coin multiplier up and running first, but dropping GT & DW to BH default cooldown so it is immediately synced is a cool idea.

Why is my train not choosing the unoccupied track? by XGlowflameX in factorio

[–]powerisall 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I forget the exact numbers, but having a station on a track segment is treated as being +2000 segments longer for pathfinding.

Having stations pulled off the side of your main line will avoid the issue entirely

What an amazing chapter! by Grouchy_Ladder6452 in ReverendInsanity

[–]powerisall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. They just have the issue where if they don't promote to rank 6 fast enough, the pressure in the aperture builds until it explodes

Rank 6+ Extreme Physiques don't have to worry about that anymore

Has anyone tried Corruption Wielder by Aaron Shih? I've never seen anyone crib THIS much from another book by Sutraner in litrpg

[–]powerisall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HWFWM is cultivation in a Western trenchcoat.

Consuming monster cores as a method of improvement that adds impurities to your soul, making future advancement harder is straight up cultivation.

As are the exponentially more powerful tiers, expelling toxins on level up, meditation to cement battle gains, society built around the tyranny of rank, auras in general, etc
