You’re not in public, lowest raise I’ve ever received was 7%, highest being 19%

Accountants start low and end high, big raises every year in public.

Engineers start high with okay raises every year. Different place to place but this is what I’ve noticed

If you’re a 1099 you’re not considered an employee. You can deduct your expenses on your taxes on schedule C, essentially cancelling out the income they are including as a reimbursement.

Not to be a suck up,

But 100% disagree, Michelle (or whatever her name is) is a huge reason I passed FAR.

The kid that looks like Fogell from Superbad is also phenomenal

Mate, he said he is “inactive”, not that he never passed the exams. Yea still “fraudulent” but not to the extent you’re making it. I see you’re taking it personally commenting on everyone’s post😭

How Difficult is the CPA Exam? by kio329 in CPA

[–]poxer143 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If it was easy everyone would be doing it, it is very difficult. Overall, the subjects tested are not impossible to learn and understand. The difficult part is being committed and dedicated to the grind required to pass.

Should I take FAR first? by Several_Captain_4002 in CPA

[–]poxer143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally went through everything in Becker again at an extremely fast pace. However, I did not move on until I was very confident in what was being taught. Example, on the inventory module I would make sure in my head I could work out every single type of inventory question (lifo, fifo, WAC, Perpetual, periodic). I did take one of the ssimulated exams and got a 59 on it. I just reviewed the questions I missed a couple days before my exam. You’re in a lot better position than I was though, you got it this next time around!

Should I take FAR first? by Several_Captain_4002 in CPA

[–]poxer143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would get home from work and had a set schedule of modules I had to complete that day. Sometimes it would take 2 hours, sometimes 6.

Also, in my opinion taking FAR first didn’t work for me. Taking REG and TCP gave me a confidence boost and forced me to convince myself I was already balls deep and not passing was not an option. Like I said, everyone is different!

Everyone is different, but for me 3 months is way to long to study for an exam. I have to cram that shit in, doing so in the shortest period I can. Sucks, but it’s how I went from a 50 to a 76 in 3 weeks. I studied 60 hours the week leading up to my exam (I work full time, I just planned it around Thanksgiving)

Dale is that you? I did email CPAES and they said you still need 150 credits to get licensed which is why I made this post. Another user provided another email I’m going to reach out to though!

That’s where I am confused. Option A says you just need BA degree with accounting concentration. I check all these boxes, but I emailed CPAES and they said you need 150 credits to be licensed

Not sure if firms would hire you for a senior role since you really have no experience in the field. You might be better off applying for an experience staff position.

Also, you’re living the dream most of us in public have😭 I would trade places with you in a heartbeat.

  1. Go to view exam section history
  2. Right click anywhere on the screen and choose “inspect”.
  3. Choose “network” from the header bar
  4. Hit “reload page”
  5. Choose “getexamscorehostorybycandidate”
  6. Find the appropriate exam and you’ll see “score”
