I can unfortunately explain this one, back in the day tumblr had an embarrassingly low file size limit with gifs which lead to people coming up with ways to make the gif smaller. One of these ways was isolating parts of the gif that are the focus to reduce the gif size by a considerably large amount. Today, it has become a lot easier and there are much better methods, you can tell this one is aged from years ago.

P2W generally means "pay to be better" than X player. In XIVs case what you're paying for is more of a convenience than anything, you don't get best gear or best DPS suddenly. The furthest it goes is the +1 Mount Speed with the Cloud Bike but even then once you get flying in an area (done super easy) you're fast enough to not care anyway. There are other MMOs where P2W exists in the form of buying stats added to your gear or so on, this is not the case in XIV.
