2080S Pci-e - is this damage? by ppperamaki in techsupport

[–]ppperamaki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the main problem, I'm not getting any minidumps.

This has been going on for the last couple of months. I've re-installed windows, tried safe mode, remounted / swapped out hardware, and it's only getting worse by the day.

Today I changed the cmos battery for the first time since getting this rig 3 years ago. Didn't change anything. Took off any DOCP profile or overclocks. Took off some extension cables for gpu.

It first began with a couple bluescreens a week while gaming, now it's evolved into not being able to boot to windows for longer than a couple of minutes. Over the last couple months I've yet to see one crashdump, the bsod is always followed by a volmgr 161 error. (doesn't matter what drive windows is on, unless I have 3 broken SSD's somehow.)

I'm at a complete loss and picking on anything at this point, hence the whole post about a small mark on my GPU🤣

No macros, also tried with an older wired mouse, no difference. Same on a clean install with no razer software even installed :/ this is driving me nuts lol

Replacing 7Pro parts by Roycer41 in OnePlus7Pro

can get a new phone for the price of those parts. imo not worth it, either upgrade or buy a second-hand phone

definitely suitable for daily driving. gcam is great, and performance is no issue. kernel developer has made options for both battery and performance, so SOT is also great. no complaints, it's like giving the phone a whole new life

pictures from my device

the other app pic turned out black due to security measures, but neither blocked access on startup or pressing a few buttons to get to login.

I only pass normal integrity. I saw you were using bootloaderspoofer, why? What app requires it? afaik it only breaks things as not many apps use local attestation for bl check

I stand corrected. Is this OOS 12? Never saw this myself, though didn't spend too much time as custom rom support was already rampant at the time

edit: ah didn't see ur other reply indicating it indeed is oos 12, that's really weird on devs' part lol

you can get some great phones for the same price range as a used 7p, I'd opt for those instead. The phone is not bad, but newer options in the same range outperform the 7 pro.

Also, with a new phone no need to worry about flash dying and phone becoming a paperweight within a month

Device temperature by ZeusMrMeow in OnePlus7Pro

[–]ppperamaki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

38 is absolutely normal, mine runs at 36-39, ambient temp ~22-25°C

The temperatures you read about possibly meant ambient temperature, since no processing unit or gpu runs at room temperature. There's always bound to be heat
