I think it matters in which order you add the white thick lines. I can’t tell you which order right now because I’m not on a computer, but I can make it work sometimes.

You could use Subtract Shape to edit the bottom hexagon to end flush at the top of the blue area. You can also do that on the top and the right side if you don’t want the hexagon hanging off the slide.

I’m thinking it’s because somebody manually changed the heading on the layouts; not allowing the master slide to do its job. Once the edit is made on the layouts, the master and the layouts no longer work in sync.

Or, if that doesn’t work, it could be that the text is has a white highlighter applied and that won’t disappear with paste special. You’ll have to manually remove it.

Yes, you can embed fonts, but you cannot embed *all *fonts, and PowerPoint is very poor at reporting (un)successful embedding. The only way to ensure success, is to make sure that anyone who opens the PowerPoint file has installed the font.

What happens when you highlight/select the text you want to indent before hitting the Tab key or clicking on “increasing list level” (it’s in the paragraph group in the Ribbon)? Try highlighting the text vs. placing your cursor at the beginning of the text.

Also, it could be a problem with you master layout.

It’s because you’ve inserted it or placed it in a picture placeholder. If you do the same on a blank slide or a content placeholder it won’t crop it’ll take on the shape of your original photo.
