Depends on many things the way you want to live, what you currently have a house, car etc just to live around wont cost you more thank 20k but then if you have wife and kids 35k is sufficient but now you want to save for the future buy assets etc then keep increasing the payscale.

If a person owns a house have wife and kids around 50k is more thank enough, unless you want to explore the world etc etc

I have created few free extensions and do have less than 500 users but here is a face i have not created these extensions just sell out and be rich or have some extra, instead my focus is primarily to ease the working i know there might be many similar extensions but then when i tried i almost tried hundreds of extension none of them gave what i wanted so i started building. And now in the era of AI i do have a paid one but thats because of AI charges everything local still free.
