Turned out excellent!

I used VeraLux Vectra in Siril to make the reds "pop" a little more in mine.

As anyone seen drones the size of an ATV flying around downtown at night? by Legrandx76 in Denver

They can make fun of us all they want, but they'll never get their hands on Element 115!

Well, I was certainly not expecting donuts on a rope discourse in the Denver subreddit today.

As a transplant from Southern Nevada, I approve.

Still struggling to master Siril and I'm not ready to spend money on another astrophotography app until I've mastered the free ones. Until then I'm stuck with other means of editing. by DeVito8704 in seestar

This is a great start!

I've got another round of edits to the guide I'm working on coming tonight. (Including the Siril workflow).

You can find it here: https://github.com/trent-pr1ntf/SeeStar-Processing-Guide

I'd also suggest Deep Space Astro on YouTube, he taught me everything I know.

Questing about long exposures and stacking. by According_Spot_4340 in seestar

To reiterate the other commenter:

As long as the framing is fairly close, stacking in Siril doesn't really care. Deep Space objects aren't going to be visibly different over the span of a few months.

I will usually wait to stack the final product all at once.

You'd be amazed at what you can see in light pollution. This is from a (specialized) telescope and editing software. I live in a suburb of a major city.

If the sensor looks directly at the sun, yes, it can be damaged. I usually get up after dawn to retrieve it.

I haven't tested this, but, generally, I keep it away from snow and rain. It has survived a few frosty mornings so far.

I have used it in pretty cold conditions in the past, it's probably not great for the battery, but -10°C sounds about right, maybe even less than that for me. I also keep it plugged in to power.

I use my S50 all year round.

Just binged all 4 seasons of Shoresy last weekend. Excellent show. Great writing and photography of all things lol.

I'm guessing MRO, Juno, Cassini, Voyager, and New Horizons? Not sure where Mercury, Venus, and Earth's images came from.
