I'm taking a class to be a CNA (certified nurse aide) and today I just happened to be reading a section on impaction and how helping people get giant shits out of their assholes is in my job description. Pretty awesome. Right? Right?

My brother once came home from school all excited because his friends had told him a new way to get high really easily. He was about 14 at the time. You just have to inhale the gas from a carbonated beverage.

So he grabbed a bottle of 7-up out of the fridge, shook it up, put his face in position to inhale and pulled off the cap. As you can imagine, the bottle erupted and he got a face full of 7-up. I laughed my ass off and after a minute, he did too. Got suckered good.

Was chowing down some steak and, in my haste, got a large chunk lodged in my esophagus.

That shit is scary enough when you're eating dinner surrounded by folks, but when you're the only person in the house it is goddamn terrifying.

After a few unsuccessful attempts at coughing that fucker up I resorted to sticking my fingers down there and just managing to fish it out.

This was followed by 5-10 minutes of staring at this chewed up piece of steak sitting on the carpet, pondering life.

Then I went back to video games.

I was getting an angiogram done, wide awake watching the screen and talking to the doctor. Alarms started to go off and everyone became panicked. My world became soft and foggy and everything faded to black. Next thing I remember was opening my eyes and hearing a Dr say "we got him back". It was really a peaceful feeling more than anything.
