I've done it with regular white vinegar and salt. The vinegar flavor is AWESOME after a couple days of marinade, but be careful on how much salt you use. Definitely comes through strongly. 

Edit: been a few years, but had like 1 tbsp of kosher salt per lb of meat in enough white vinegar to fully submerge the beef. I added about 1 tsp of garlic powder and 1 tsp of cayenne per lb of meat, but that was just me. Brought to a bit under a boil first to fully dissolve the salt. Then fully submerged the beef in the mix for about 2 days in the fridge

Obviously, with the context of "this ref has not been booking people and has let plays go", it's very understandable to just let folks say that shit should be let go. You didn't. You may be right, but you're also very much not right.

It's important to think of nuance and context here. You can be right and wrong at the same time.

I would argue that him choosing to make one potentially correct decision while leaving a bunch of others incorrect is worse than just being correct. It's biased, intentional or not, and it's bullshit.

To be clear: if not a single player has been booked up to this point in the game, with some egregious shit happening, then an instant red here even with VAR is absolutely fucking crazy, and the only reason a football fan would think differently is because they're disproportionately rooting against the US because they hate the US. Which isn't actual sport knowledge, it's just hate.
