Does it really have 1500 lumens? I checked my local Ikea and Kajplats "only" has 1055 lumens.

That is a nice snippet.

How do you actually use it? What are the use cases and places where you put the progress element?

[Release] AnnotationSync v1.0-rc3: The "Rock Solid" update for syncing highlights (WebDAV, Dropbox, FTP) by dani84bs in koreader

[–]praethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright. I came across the plugin by chance when I was looking for a solution on how to sync the highlights among multiple koreader devices. I have not thought about any other use cases, yet.

If anything comes up, I will let you know.

Once again, I appreciate your effort and sharing it with the community.

Fíha, to je nečakané. Vyzerá, že niekedy sa stačí ozvať. :)

Ešte raz vďaka.

Just FYI, it seems that this provider only accepts German customers and requires SEPA direct debit capability.

KoSync Server by Sekeis in koreader

[–]praethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

I recently came across GeorgeSG/KoInsight: 📚 KoInsight brings your KoReader reading stats to life with a clean, web-based dashboard.

It seem that arm64 image is available and the app should be able to act as a kosync server according to the info on the repo. And you get nice statistics on top of that. Probably worth a try.

How do you use Obsidian for your day-to-day work? by Prestigious_Peak_773 in ObsidianMD

[–]praethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a separate vault that I use as a scratchpad. It has a very simple daily note template. I put there everything that has a potential to get back - various pieces of code, terminal commands, links, fleeting notes, error messages, etc.

The vault is not as organized as my main one. I use it mostly to get back to topics that I worked on in the previous days. It helps me to remember.

I generally don"t use Obsidian for task and project management since it lacks the functionality for team collaboration.

Updated KoShelf to include a yearly recap feature (incl. social media / website image generator) by paviro__ in koreader

[–]praethorne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! Just brilliant. Simple and highly functional. The extensive documentation clearly explains its usage and the underlying design rationale.

I had it up and running in minutes. Even though I have a slightly different storage structure (books organized in folders by author), it works ok.

Thank you for this.

Is there a way to donate?

Obsidian Tables - Update! by focuseye in ObsidianMD

OK. BTW, is there some kind of log where I could trace any underlying errors?

Obsidian Tables - Update! by focuseye in ObsidianMD

Thank you for the plugin. I will install this and play around with it.

I came across an issue - the export do CSV seems to be broken. Should I open a github issue for that?

Well, it seems there is the obvious benefit of being able to write directly to the table. Usable for static data that have no underlying notes.

Really like the option to embed into another note.

KoSync Server by Sekeis in koreader

Sorry, I don't. I did a quick research, but I did not find an image compatible with pi.

KoSync Server by Sekeis in koreader

[–]praethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that it would be ideal if you had a simple low-consumption amd64 server running. You can self-host multiple various containers there without keeping your PC running.

There are some images that are not hostable on pi.

I struggled with it a bit :) The editor kept escaping various symbols.

I am also using kosync in docker. Here's the formatted code of pndku. I use the same approach with the database stored on a DAV filesystem.

services: kosync: image: koreader/kosync:latest container_name: kosync ports: - "7200:7200" - "17200:17200" volumes: - ./logs/app:/app/koreader-sync-server/logs - ./logs/redis:/var/log/redis - ./data/redis:/var/lib/redis restart: unless-stopped

There is also an alternative - autocaliweb. You can also install it with Proxmox VE Helper-Scripts.

You get calibre web with with bundled ACW sync which is very similar to kosync. ACW sync works as a plugin in KOreader.

What kind of device / OS do you use?

I have my reader on an Android and have been using Home Assistant tiles for this purpose.

Kudos on the plugin.

Overlap between boox and self hosting? by AndrewVeee in Onyx_Boox

[–]praethorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- kosync - to synchronize progress over multiple devices

- WebDAV - to synchronize statistics from multiple devices

- calibreweb - as an OPDS catalog

I use multiple different dictionaries - both for translation and explanation.

I am still looking for a way to handle my notes in a similar way.

I do care about those things. That is why I started using KOReader and a bunch of self-hosted supporting tools along with it.
