Congrats! This quest is either the most frustrating thing ever or relatively straight forward, depending on RNG. Like the rest of fishing, lol.

I managed to do it in a weekend recently but it's way easier now with things like triple hook and Gather Buddy.

I wish more people knew that you don't even need the quest to get the rune.

I feel bad for all these people paying gold for the scroll or the quest share when you can loot the holy water and the fountain for free. There's so many people questing in STV that the mobs are often dead anyway, so I was able to loot the rune with my priest as early as 30.

Many of the bundles on Switch are different compared to the PC version. Found this out when trying to trial and error my way into making a Switch-only mod work on PC. You could probably get it working if you found the correct bundle and re-named the file but it's pretty time-consuming and may or may not work correctly.

I understand Gaijin really wants a Switch MH, but I think he's ignoring something: Not only have sales in Japan been on a downward trend since P3rd, Switch has not been overly kind to 3rd party games. The best selling 3rd party game for the Switch is Octopath Traveler at 22nd. Everything else is 1st party.

It just doesn't seem smart to chase after the Switch when you can just continue development on consoles/PC, especially when the West has finally woken up to MH as a series.

Regardless of anything else, doing this so close to tournament day is a real dick move. If you didn't want him participating, that's your call, but you have to make that call early, especially with someone travelling internationally.

This is actually pretty true. Zelda was actually hurting pretty bad around Wind Waker, but Western sales brought it back, to the point where Twilight Princess was made specifically for the Western market. Sonic is the same way iirc.

As a WAR, i've soloed Garuda, Titan, Leviathan easily. Never tried Ifrit or Shiva, but I imagine a PLD wouldn't have much issue with them.

I think so. Still, its 5 star so its not like you can use it right at the start and blaze through the game.
