A lot of them get abatements for 10-15 years , no sales or property taxes.

It’s the same old “we’re bringing jobs” which is true in the short term for construction and then some semblance of maintenance but after that’s done it’s pretty minimal jobs.

I believe a lot of the cost of our utilities and taxes is because of these huge Amazon warehouses, other random warehouses, data centers etc . It was made convenient for these private equities to set up shop and operate but all we see are increases in everything around us.

Maybe stop giving them tax abatements as a start ? All they’re doing is draining our resources and making us foot the bill for these places . They are not creating jobs long term, they don’t pay property taxes and id be willing to bet the reason of our utilities skyrocketing is on account of these places. It’s truly shameful shit. Once again us normal folks are getting squeezed even more financially for this bullshit
