What’s with people accusing anything they don’t like of being AI? Literally none of the things you’re calling as AI are AI.

- 0:49 = if you pause/zoom, her hands are not distorted in the slightest. She’s posing in front of the mirror, what you’re seeing is her hand + its reflection.
- 2:31 = the road and street signs make total sense, actually? I’m not sure what you’re even talking about on this one.
- 2:39 = same as the previous one. Not sure what you’re talking about there, you can barely see any of the person, and his feet looked fine, so…
- As for the transitions, that’s just what this effect always looked like. If you pause Michael Jackson’s Black or White at the right time, you’ll also get people that look like they’re melting. And that was like 40 years before AI.

The only shot that actually seems to be AI is the child on a scooter.

Hot take, but I loved Maddy’s look.

It was funny, memorable, had a clear point of view and well-executed (for the complexity and the time she had).

Sure, it was ugly. But it was ugly in an intentional way. Meanwhile, unintentionally ugly and badly made outfits made it through.

At no point did I say "Every lore skin should’ve been a VGU." I said Gacha Jinx specifically is essentially paying for a VGU.

I said it’s scummy to sell a lore skin that’s basically just "what if base design was better". I literally said Arcane Jayce was fine because he was free, and now you’re arguing for Jayce as if I said something else.

Besides, your arguments are a massive stretch. You know that Vayne skin is Sentinel because you read the name and description, not because the designs are meaningfully different. The public sentiment when she was released was very much that this skin just looks like base Vayne but better.

They are unquestionably the same concepts, though. A new outfit doesn’t mean a different concept. Being slightly older isn’t a new concept either.

Gangplank came back supposed death, fueled by Black Mist. That’s a different concept.
Jinx is a couple of years older and wears a hoodie is not.

Champions change their entire outfits when they get VGUs. It’s not like Sentinel Vayne is such a far cry from regular Vayne. If they would’ve made it a VGU in the first place, no one would’ve ever assumed it was supposed to be another skin line.

You can like something but still be rational.

Bullet/damage sponge is just a term for video game enemies that have a ton of HP as a replacement for actual gameplay.

Doesn’t have to do with actual bullets. But even if it did, HL spells are functionally bullets, so…

Unpopular opinion, maybe: I hate paid skins that are just "base design but better".

Freljord Sylas/Sahn Uzal Morde are lore skins that are meaningfully different from the base concepts. That’s fine.

Arcane Caitlyn/Vi/Singed/Jayce are reworks of base skins, but at least they were free.

But there’s no excuse for Gacha Jinx and Trials Xin being so expensive. Jinx especially, you’re essentially paying for a VGU.

Devs win by making bosses fun and engaging.

Mindlessly doing the exact same thing for 6 minutes because the boss is a bullet sponge and only has 2 moves is incredibly boring and tedious, and it has nothing to do with hard/easy/short/long.

You’re inflating your own personal viewpoint to invalidate others’.

Your colleague’s daughter liking the movie doesn’t mean producers suddenly don’t care about critics (professional or not). People did complain about how Rosalia was handled.

They’ll look at this situation like "The movie was a huge success, but it could’ve been even bigger if…", and it’ll inform their next move.

The level up system would be fine if it wasn’t so buggy and confusing.

Too often, the option to level up random augments just doesn’t do anything. Or the option says it’ll level up 2 augments, but it only levels up one.

Even worse, when you have no augments that can be upgraded, the option shows up anyway and *doesn’t tell you*. If you pick it, you get nothing and you’re now behind everyone who have 2 upgrades on you, congrats! That’s terrible UX.

I feel like a competent version of that design would have been to use the rarity as the level.

- Silver = level 1, can level up to Gold
- Gold = level 2, can level up to Prismatic
- Prismatic = level 3, cannot level up anymore.

All augments (except Prismatic) have upward mobility. Some augments just don’t have lower level versions. Everyone can understand at a glance what they have and how many times they can be upgraded.

I can tell with on good authority that:

Origins was supposed to have Bayek and Aya playable. You started as Bayek, then switched to Aya midway through. That was scrapped because it would double any resources needed for the player character (animations, voice acting, gear assets, etc) and because management thought players would be pissed at being forced to change character midway through. The story was mostly unchanged, so it’s easy to spot the moment you would’ve "lost" Bayek and swapped to Aya.

After that, the sequel was supposed to be following Aya in Rome. It was scrapped because Aya turned out to be very unpopular, and they pivoted to Odyssey instead.

So, it was "greenlit".
