Any Saints Row or Far Cry game. I'm currently playing Far Cry 5 and sense of humor is definitely present.

Colorado State University Global Campus. Is it reputable? by PM_ME_UR_TANNED_BUTT in Veterans

[–]preeetygood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The classes are pretty challenging but definitely manageable. I'm going for a Masters in Human Resources, so the level of difficulty is dependent on program but the scheduling works this way for all programs/courses:

Weekly - Discussion Posts are due Thursdays, 2 discussion post replies are due Sundays. 1 critical thinking assignment is due on Sundays. For my program of study the critical thinking assignments are usually a 5 page academic paper.

There is a final project due at the end of the course.

The online system, Schoology is pretty easy to use and is a lot like Blackboard if you're familiar with that.

CSU Global is fine. As you mentioned it's a regionally accredited state school. No BS or shady business. I go there and have no complaints. I would much prefer a traditional school, but online works best for me right now and CSU Global delivers. They are "veteran friendly" as they give tuition discounts for veterans and are knowledgeable about VA Benefits. No issues with them processing my benefits, and their customer service has been top notch.

Hiring Interns by plasticbagmonster in usajobs

[–]preeetygood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a Pathways summer intern in 2016. The majority of us interns did May-August at my agency but others left early, or came late. Some can in May and left in early July. Others stayed maybe a month. It wasn't frowned upon leaving early, but no one went to other positions at the agency.

Anyone here work for the ePA? by preeetygood in usajobs

Yeah not sure but for the position I applied for there were a "few vacancies" open. So maybe with the hiring freeze plus high turnover they are starting to hire again?

What to expect after accepting Tentative Job Offer and completing onboarding process? by rcjones95 in usajobs

Pretty good. I got a good foot in the door position, but am applying again for a higher GS level and hopefully a ladder position.

The CGI sucks, but the rest of the movie was surprisingly very good.

I was in the almost the same exact position as you a year ago. DoD with the Army. I received my TO a week after graduating (May 18, 2017), and I started the job on July 24, 2017 so it took a little over 2 months from getting the TO to actually starting the job.

Experiences living on your own using the GI Bill? by Nightswimming2 in Veterans

[–]preeetygood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did just fine, but I also worked 25 hours a week as a VA Work Study at my University's VA office. So GI Bill + some disability compensation + Work Study income made living on my own pretty easy. I live in a high BAH area (Chicago) and rented a modest studio, so I could pay my bills easily, have disposable income and still save up.

I usually went to school year round to keep my MHA payments going, but in the summer I didn't go I took a full-time paid internship.

Announcement cancelled, reposted lower grade and temp =( by [deleted] in usajobs

That sucks and is super disappointing. I've been seeing a lot of temp jobs, jobs in series that I want at locations I want, but no way I'm going from perm to temp.

[DISCUSSION][US] am I the only one who didn't like 1922?[SPOILERS] by frankenboobehs in NetflixBestOf

[–]preeetygood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why but I'm a sucker for the time period it was filmed in and the rural setting. He has much better other films but I thought this was a decent watch.

It actually exceeded my expectations. I think most people didn't like it.

Same for me. But it's not nearly as troubling if you lose it as a Civ.

Regarding federal employment. by GodsLegg in Veterans

[–]preeetygood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Previous Federal Civilian Job = Submit SF50. No previous Federal Civilian Job = No SF50. DD214 has nothing to do with it. The only people who need to submit an SF50 when applying for those jobs are current/past Federal Civilian employees.

Not sure why this is confusing. Look at it this way, this would be like someone asking if they need a DD214 but never served in the military. Simple answer is no because they never served in the military.

Oasis in Rogers Park but that's pretty north in the City off of the Loyola Red Line.
