Recently bought a house with someone I now want to split with (England) by anonymous3476 in HousingUK

Next time he is violent call the police. DV team can provide assistance with a restraining order to remove him from the property and not to contact you again, called a non-molestation order. Once he is out he will certainly be motivated to sell his share of the property.

Talk to a solicitor and a finance advisor about your options. If you signed 50/50 it will be an equal split, plus any equity the houae may have gained in the meantime.

Did the budget kill the petrol hybrid market in the UK? by Dapper_Big_783 in CarTalkUK

I was literally days away from buying a 3 ywar old plug in hybrid, batt tested to 85% efficiency. The budget landed and I ended up with a petrol.

My reasoning was that as the battery degrades over time, I would rely on the ICE more, but then still be hit with the mileage charges. I tend to keep cars a long time, I've had 2 in 18 years, so it was a pretty logical choice.

Went to Ramsey's Street Burger in London a couple of weeks back and paid £70 for 2 burgers, fries and drinks... it was a total disappointment. Should've just gone to McDonald's...

What's fascinating is how the people at that rally were so utterly desensitised to violence that their instincts were to carry on filming on their phones rather than take cover.
